“Shopping in Zona Sul”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

All the branded shops are present here. Though its on the more expensive side but its a one stop destination for all products, it has starbucks to mention a few rares in Rio, On weekends specially Sunday a few shops might be closed, so pick your time properly.

“Indoor Mall with lots of interesting spots”
Reviewed November 26, 2012

Went here on my day of adventure around Rio! (took a cab and just showed him where to go)
Nice indoor mall with little shops. Not a luxury shopping location but nice deals were surely all around.

“Disappointing”
Reviewed October 4, 2012 via mobile

I was really keen to go and spend money but for the life of me couldn't find anything apart from havaianas. It's a nice centre, but no clothing that appealed.

“Great Mall”
Reviewed October 3, 2012

Bought an awesome micro bikini for $15. There are a variety of stores and restaurants. Close to Copacabana Beach. Just don't walk through the tunnel!

“My favorite mall in Rio”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

Rio Sul is not the only mall in Zona Sul (South Side) of Rio, as written by another user (there are actually 4 other malls in the South Side plus small galleries), but it's one of the oldest in the city and one of the most consolidated ones, always passing by makeovers to keep on growing. There are five floors with all kinds of stores and restaurants -- from department stores to more upscale brands. So if you're on a rainy day, it's the perfect place to go. If you're coming from the United States or Europe, be aware that prices in Brazil are higher due to several reasons, so don't expect to find many bargains. The good thing is that there's also a good variety of restaurants, from the excellent quality Ícaro on the 1st floor to Outback Steakhouse on the 5th floor, passing by the 2nd floor which has some fast food restaurants. There are also bank agencies (such as HSBC), pharmacies, a post office, a bureau of the Brazilian Federal Police, as well as other services. The only con is that the movie theatre is old and outdated, but there's a new one under construction. Rio Sul is easily reached by car (several levels of parking available - but they're usually crowded), cab or bus. If you wanna go shopping or just stroll around on a rainy day, that's the place to be.
