We had a 2 bed for 3 of us. The shower did not work in main Bathroom, turn the taps in the shower and water comes out of the sink taps! Very noisy air con, floors dusty, no kitchen utensils. We called down to the front desk and room service for a bottle opener, and they didn't have one! No staff knew any English. Only one staff member knew a little and helped us get a taxi on departure. Overpriced for what you get.

The service is quite below international level, as usual for Rio. And it's an Accor Mercure. The room has a bathroom with no windows or ventilation. It smells bad.

The management said they are changing all plumbing and elevators, but I don't think it will solve the smell.

Regarding elevators, there is no service one, so me and my family had to stay once with garbage, other times with hotel people full of boxes or minibar stuff. Just ugly.

It's good to stay near the beach, so I didn't care about the 80's decoration style.

The building is not as we use to see at ACCOR hotels. best location at LEBLON, close to the beach but overpriced for the service/quality of the apartments. The apartments are big, one bedroom, kitchen, oven, plates, table, sofa, 2 TV's and it's being reform, but slowly!

Not unlike most of the hotels in Rio de Janeiro, this property enjoys a great location, but the whole place is way overpriced for a really aging structure. Cracked walls, broken windows, noisy A/C units. The city hotel industry has decided to jack off the prices ahead of the next World cup and Olympics games at the expense of the paying customers.

Room Tip: High floor and may the luck be with you.

Excellent location, comfortable rooms, staff keen to help. The common areas are very limited. Few of the staff at reception speak english, many don't. A hotel in an international chain should have at least one english language news tv channel. It claimed to have CNN but it did not. The cost was high compared to similar standard hotels in Europe.
