“Go for the sunset!!”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

the views are fantastic, the ticket cost a bit but GO GO, it is really nice.
Try to go around 6 PM, have a look (at the second, last station) , take a few pictures, then take a caipirinha or two and wait until it gets dark, completely dark. The view with the lights are really amazing !!!

“Beautiful view”

Well worth the touristy trip for a dekko at the coastline. Gets cool on top though...and very crowded at sunset!

“Get there early”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

There are some things we were just not able to control, the weather and the crowds.....when three cruise ships all offload their passengers at the same time after they have breakfasted the queues for the cable cars are long. When we eventually reached the top Rio was glimpsed through clouds and fine drizzle.
The highlight was the family of little marmoset monkeys peeping over the edge at us

“Beautiful sunset view”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

Great view of the city at dusk. A must-do in Rio. Try to get up there about an hour before sunset to jockey for a good viewpoint, especially if you want nice, unobstructed photos without dozens of people between you and the railing.

“Stunning views”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

I don't love heights, but the cable cars to the top of this mountain are totally worth it. I highly recommend timing your visit with sunset. We got there at just the right time and it was really a sight to see. 360 views of the city and ocean, pink skies. We were a little disappointed that we didn't see any monkeys, though.
