We just stayed for one night as a stop over before heading down to Ilha Grande. It was friendly, clean and in a nice area.

Staff were friendly and helpful although they didn't seem to know as much about how to get to other tourist destinations as we'd hoped.

Breakfast was very good.

Hotel has been fully renovated, as everything inside looks like brand new. Everything works, rooms are fully equipped with comfortable beds, new matresses and blanquets, spacefull bathroom with large bathtub, desk, LCD TV and frigobar (with very convenient prices!). Staff was very kind at all times. It was great to have chosen Regina Hotel, a true 'hidden pearl' in Catete-Flamengo district. Highly recommended for business purposes as it is close to downtown, 2 blocks from 'Catete' subway station and 1 block form most buses. Also recommended for leisure trips for visitors that are not only interested in sunbathing but also in history, museums and cultural activities and atractions. I would definitely stay at Regina Hotel again

Room Tip: Superior Room #616 is comfortable and quiet with big bathroom.

Hotel Regina is a good hotel if you are not looking for just crossing the street to go to the beach. Actually, it is close to Flamengo beach and 10 minutes away from the famous Copacabana Beach. I liked that hotel very much. It is not a five-star hotel, but pretty clean and confortable. The rooms are silent and the shower is good too. But the best part of that hotel is the breakfast. I think it was one of the best breakfast services I've ever seen.

Well located hotel in the quiet Flamengo district, a short walk to Flamengo beach and to Catete subway station from which the historical centre is reached in a few minutes. The departure point for the train to Corcovado and its statue of Christ is also easily reached by bus. Not very far from Santos Dumont airport by taxi. Friendly and efficient English speaking staff. Excellent breakfast included in room price. The rooms are well appointed, with free Wifi. The main problem is a noisy air-conditioning system.

Hotel Regina is a decent hotel in a fantastic location in the centre of Rio, near Flamengo Beach. The hotel itself is not much to write home about, but it perfectly clean and has helpful, friendly staff. But it has two qualities that are worth noting. Firstly, the fitness / leisure centre on the top floor is a great asset. The jacuzzi baths are lovely, and it's wonderful to be able to have a relaxing soak at the end of the day. Secondly, the breakfast is quite extraordinary. I've done a lot of travelling, and I'd have to say their breakfasts are amongst the best I've had. Fresh mango, guava, pineapple and myriad other fresh fruits, plus mountains of cakes of many shapes and sizes, deliciously cooked eggs, meats, cheeses, and more exotic freshly squeezed juices than I've ever seen in one place. It's almost worth staying just for the breakfast.

Hotel Regina is a nice hotel in the Flamengo area, not so close to Copacabana and Ipanema but very close to Catete metro station and several bus lines, 2 minutes away from Flamengo Park and beach. Definitely less pricey than hotels in the beaches area, it's in a very good position to visit Rio.
Very good breakfast buffet, nice wide rooms, a little bit old but very clean.

I will definitely return. There are many hotels in Rio .this one did it for us. No complications. Friendly staff, goog food and clean. If you like running the treadmill with tv aircom. SPA is ok with steaming room and 3 Jacuzzi. Down side it closes at 10pm. One down side is there are not many places to eat around.
