Bad things about this hotel: Bad service, the reception people really need a training on how to treat a guest....they are arrogant and unpolite.
The hotel smells bad and needs renovation.
They use nice pictures to attract clients but dont trust them.
Good things about this hotel: Rooms are quite big and hotel islocated close to a subway station (Botafogo), which is one stop away from Copacabana beach.
Breakfast is included and not bad.
I hope that I will never need to come back to this hotel.

The problems have started at the front desk. The staffs were very rude. They didn't do anything about the wrong room I've booked and it was making me nervous. My girlfriend and I had be waiting for hours until the deputy manager come us and solve the problem. However the attendant the day before was very nice and friendly. The room is very confortable and beachfront christ. It's a hotel pretty located, however the staffs are the why I won't come back never more ever...

It is my second time in this hotel and I found it a little more better than the previous one.

Room:
Quite big but without the view to the Corcovado, anyway there was enough space to move on.
Bed was ok, pillows were kind of hard but comfortable.
Internet is terrible, even if you use a network cable, you will spend few minutes to get into the web pages.

Clean:
Really good!!

Service:
Much better! Last time i got a conflict with one front desk guy (Alexandre) but this time he had nice service behavior.

Location:
Good, you can find restaurants, coffe shops, and the beach is very close from the hotel.
Both RJ airports are close.

Since it is a business hotel, may not be good for families.

Room Tip: Ask for a room witha baclony to the Corcovado!

I stayed a week on business. Good location (noisy if you get a room on lower floor) near metro and with a shopping mall close by and a few restaurants. Better location than Central where everything shuts and there is nothing about. Room was good size with small balcony. Clean, comfortable and in good repair. En-suite small but again clean and comfortable. Good shower. Breakfast was standard for Rio. Small lobby and I am not sure where the bar was - think it was in the restaurant area but never used it - small bars opposite hotel were perfectly good. Very small pool on 2 floor - don't know what the sun coverage was like, but don't come here for hours of lying by the pool in the sun. Gym was tiny and in need of some investment. 2 x basic running machines (old), 2 x cycle machines that were very basic and didn't work, and one small multi-gym. Didn't use the Conf rooms but looked quite small. Good fo business. Would use again and ok for short break to use as a base - but why when ou can get one on the beach - Copacabana or even better Ipanema?

Room Tip: Ask for a high room (get ay from traffic noise) and one with a view of the Corcovado (Christ the Redeemer).

We stayed in the CBRDJB during the Rio+20. Most of the hotels in Copacabana and Ipanema were fully booked... At first we were a bit sad that we might be far from the 'action' of the beach subburbs. But we were surprised with this hotel.
Very nice location: Our room had a wonderful view of Corcovado and the Christ statue (Which was illuminated at night, and still vissable from our room!). It is very closely situated to the Metro(So getting around was quick and easy, you can easily go to the centre of town or to the beaches). It is within walking distance of the Sugar loaf Mountain and the Botafogo beach.
Rooms: Nice, small bathroom, no tub, just a shower. Great views (If your lucky to get a room with a view, our friends looked out on to a building and the hotel swimming pool!, so ask for a room on the upper levels 1 to 5, not 6,7,8 per level)(Upper level because street noise can be an issue, if you prefer quiet then ratter ask for the rooms 7,8 )
Breakfast: our travel agency told us that we did not have breakfast included, on arival we were told that the breakfast was included(Yay!).....by morning number 5 (Argh!), the breakfast is acceptable, but mostly for business travellers who only stay a day or two! not much variety!
Would stay in this hotel again if I were to go on business, but not if I went for leisure! Would rather try and get one of the hotels in Copacabana or Ipanema or Leblon (When the metro is completed as it only goes to Ipanema for now )
Taxi's: Some very good ones, but also a drunk one! smell his breath before you get in...
One of the guest cut his finger on the shower door: they did not even have a basic medical kit on site!!! like a plaster...

Rio is a great city to visit!
