I have planned to check-in for 8 nights in this hotel. However, the experience is totally unbelievable, considering I have to pay R$ 1,000/night. The front desk officer was unfriendly to begin with. As soon as I arrive at the room, there is this very strong deodorant smell in the room. The smell is unbearable. Next is the wifi, I have to pay for R$35/day for the wifi and it's not even working, only 1~2 bar and transmittance service. I called the technical department, front desk...etc. They promised to fix it but they never did. Next, I tried to take a bath and man, those towels are covered with strong bleach smell......

The only good thing is they have excellent view on the top of their roof and location is not too bad either.

The value offered is really not worth the paying price. I checked out the 2nd day, moving to Ipanema, paying around 60% of the price with better value.

Room Tip: Make sure you find higher floor room, with full sea view.

I was really impresed by the building, decoration, quality of food and even more by the confortable rooms.
The view from the 40th floor was superb I could admire Pao the Azucar the Corcavado Christ and the Copacabana beach, i could not ask for more.

Room Tip: you can book it via internet and get a super room at a really cheap price.

Great hotel. Security 24/7 in lobby. Wicked view from pool up top. Bar there pricey but to be expected at a beachfront hotel in Copacabana I guess. Pablo at reception extremely helpful as expedia messed up my reservation as apparently "double room" on expedia does not mean 2 people, nor does it mean 2 beds - it means "double bed". So myself and my buddy go check in and the guy at the front desk goes to confirm that 1 bed is okay to which my response was "uh, no. One bed is definitely not okay which is why i booked the double room". Long story short, we all laughed about it in the end and Pablo the reception guy put us in a different room with two beds. That did cost more tho so be careful with expedia bookings I guess is the lesson here. Otherwise, hotel was pretty awesome. Oh, best breakfast buffet I've had in a long time with tables overlooking the beach, icing on the cake.

The hotel is about half hour drive from the international airport of RIO. Just across the street to the beach of Copacabana. Bike rental right on the side of the hotel.
A very nice reception and staff help you with check in and stuff. Some rooms has direct sea view, but i had a city view room, but it was ok. The room was clean but just a thin blanket on the bed. The minibar was extremly loud either the aircon, which just could be adjusted to the temperature. Bathroom with shower was ok. A lot of amenities.
On the 37. level a little warm pool but a spectacular view to copacabana.
Sugar loaf mountain 10 min by taxi. Hotel organizes transportation.
All in one very nice and recommendable place.

Stayed here two nights while on business trip to Brazil. This is the most modern hotel along the road fronting Copacabana Beach. The room was nice - clean, comfortable, and big enough. The wifi didn't work well for me - I was on 6th floor, same as the events center which has its own wifi - but they did bring a router to my room which helped quite a bit. The wifi is very expensive though (R$35 per day). The bathroom was clean and everything was in great working order.

The rooftop pool is a nice place to relax and view toward the north and east. There is a bar and deck next to the pool.

The staff is overall friendly, helpful, and speak English. The concierge could have been a little friendlier, but maybe I caught her on a not so great day. If you want to print a boarding pass, try to go on your own computer, save it to a memory stick, then go to the business center and they will print it for you. Otherwise, it costs per minute - on very slow computers - to access the Internet and print from there.

One of the best aspects of this hotel is the breakfast buffet, which I believe is included in every room rate. It is extremely good, with a wonderful variety of foods - hot and cold.

If you want a view of the Christ the Redeemer Statue, request a room facing south on an upper floor. A few rooms on each floor have a great view of the beach and ocean.

The location is excellent - just walk across the street to the beach. Downtown is only a 15-minute drive away. There are lots and lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance, including grocery stores and walk-up grills.

I recommend this hotel if you are want to stay in the beach area and not be far from downtown.

Room Tip: For view of Christ the Redeemer Statue - facing south and high floor; for view of beach and ocean...

The Windsor is located in a very good spot at the beginning of Copacabana. The beach is just across the street. I stayed at this hotel a lot during the last few months and while I enjoy the location, the hotel itself has seen better days. Rooms are a bit old-fashioned and no matter which room you are in, it is always incredibly noisy. There is wind blowing through the building, doors slamming, hotel staff shouting around etc. The Wifi in the internet is often very slow, too slow to do a Skype phone call or send a picture. On other days, it works much better, yet very unreliable.
Staff are often a bit arrogant and rude in my opinion. This hotel is a bit like Copacabana. Lives off its glamourous reputation, but in need of improvement....
