The promotion of caiprihanas and pastrami was excellent value and delicious! Fig and walnut ice cream was another highlight. Great service and atmosphere.

Delicious panini's and sandwiches. Sitting on one of the busy streets of Santa Teresa, Cafecito sits on the second level giving great views of the area. You feel like you are eating among the trees.

“Coffee and Cakes Done Right”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2012

Four of us squeezed into a tiny table up the rather spectacular stairway at this semi-outdoor cafe. The coffees were excellent, and served with a small side of mineral water and a tiny bite of brownie, but we also sampled two generous slices of their cakes and found them very good. It was a blustery day, so we were glad to be under a large plastic awning near the counter -- other patrons were not so lucky and were getting rained on intermittently. I am told that their sandwiches are wonderful, too, but we had eaten our fill of feijoada an hour before and couldn't consider confirming that! We all agreed that we would definitely go back if we are in the neighborhood again.

“Great spot for a late morning coffee”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 19, 2012

Nice place for a coffee in a bohemian café situated in the main street running through Santa Teresa.

Perfect for an expresso and a slice of cake.. the orange cake I sampled was delicious and they serve it warm. Love the melted bottles they use for plates to serve the larger dishes - very original.

Lots of character and worth a visit. There is also a shop situated at the end of their terrace which you may miss if you don't go up stairs to enter Cafecito from the street.
