“Great spot for a late morning coffee”
Reviewed June 19, 2012

Nice place for a coffee in a bohemian café situated in the main street running through Santa Teresa.

Perfect for an expresso and a slice of cake.. the orange cake I sampled was delicious and they serve it warm. Love the melted bottles they use for plates to serve the larger dishes - very original.

Lots of character and worth a visit. There is also a shop situated at the end of their terrace which you may miss if you don't go up stairs to enter Cafecito from the street.

“Nice cafe in a trendy place”
Reviewed June 12, 2012

This place is typical of the many existing in this area.
Lot of people discussing, sharing drinks & snacks, very lively atmosphere up to late in the night.
Santa Teresa is not to be missed and this place gives you a fairly good idea of what it is about.
Don't expect exceptional food, but you do not go there for that, right ?

“Nice boutique bistró in Rio de Janeiro´s old town”
Reviewed May 16, 2012

As part of your visit to Rio´s old town, you should take a break at Cafecito, placed on the upper floor of an old house in Santa Teresa.
It´s a cozy and colourful terrace, ideal for a brunch seeking the peace and shadows of the trees and the big umbrellas. Coffee (italian, not brazilian) and sweets are very good. While you wait for your order you can visit the potpourri store on the adjacent room.
It´s not costly, if you do not take into your account the taxi ride in/out.
