Gisela help us to discover Rio de Janeiro focusing on our points of interest. She is pro, helpful, nice and she knows how to explain us what to know about the town, its history, its neighborhoods, its people, its sites. We felt as if we were with a friend or someone of our family. We deeply recommend Gisela if you want to have customized guided tour of Rio and if you are looking for a confident and great guide. Thanks again Gisela!

Gisele spend 5 hours with me driving and walking all across Rio. She has an extensive knowledge of the city and of the Brazilian culture ans she has a real sense of humor. She is very flexible ans always super keen on meeting you needs an adapting the tour to your expectations. I had a great time with her and would recommend her to anyone who is looking for the genuine Rio.

My wife and I visited Rio and were aqainted with Gisela by my company connection. She was wonderful!!! Very pleasant, very accomodating particularly considering we were in Barra and there was 2hrs of traffic from Rio. She brought us to a place that served a "typical" Brazilian meal and showed us all the important sights of Rio. Please rest assured that Rio is not as crime ridden as some internet sights or books suggest. During the day you are as safe in Rio as any American city. And just like in Chicago there are areas you just dont go. As simple as that. Gisela will in the end provide expert guidance and a great attitude.

We hired Gisela to provide us with a day tour of Rio after we disembarked our cruise ship in Rio. The transfer from the ship was incredibly expensive and we sought options. Gisela was able to provide with an thoroughly enjoyable day of sightseeing at not too much higher cost than the cruise transfer cost alone.

Gisela is personable and knowledgeable - not just about the sites but also how the city lives. She is flexible and will design a tour that fits you. We picked the sites we wanted to see.

The day of our tour was cloudy and with some rain. That made it difficult to see the higher elevation attractions. Gisela was able to rearrange our schedule and defer the higher elevation attractions until the weather cleared. That option isn't available on public tours.

We had lunch in a local shop with local food. We experienced Rio dining.

Gisela dropped us off at the airport terminal after a fun and enjoyable day of Rio sightseeing. I'd recommend Gisela to anyone who is looking to find the real Rio.

We recently took a tour with Gisela in Rio de Janeiro. Gisela customized our tour to hit the attractions that we wanted to see the most and also suggested a few things that we didn't know about. She was prompt, friendly and spoke excellent English.

Gisela met us in the lobby of our hotel on the morning of the tour and had her van waiting just outside. Her van was air conditioned, comfortable and had plenty of room for not just ourselves but also our luggage. As we had arrived into Rio the night before we asked her if it would be possible to stop by an ATM briefly to get some spending money. Gisela quickly directed us to one of the international bank branches and waited while we used the ATM.

After getting some cash it was off to see Christ the Redeemer! Gisela narrated our drive through the city and up the mountain telling us all about the city, life in it and answering the questions that we had. As there were four cruise ships in port that day she recommended that we drive instead of take the train to Christ the Redeemer. Driving brought us almost all the way to the statue where we had to transfer to a brief shuttle ride for the rest of the way. We learned all about the statue and Gisela took pictures for us and pointed out the different parts of the city.

Next we were off to Sugarloaf Mountain (Pão de Açúcar)! We had a pleasant drive through the city and past some of the gorgeous (and famous) beaches of Rio. We also made a stop in Santa Teresa where we did some souvenir shopping. Gisela was able to park right at the base of the cable car and we quickly boarded the first of two cable cars to reach the top. A short three minute ride later we were at the top of the first mountain where we had a chance to take pictures and enjoy the scenery before continuing to Sugarloaf Mountain. At the top of Sugarloaf we had amazing views of the city, the water and Christ the Redeemer in the distance. Gisela told us about the history of the city and we had some time to grab food and shop.

Our time at this point was short and we would need to head to the airport if we didn't want to risk getting stuck in traffic. Along the way we stopped at the Sambadrome which unfortunately isn't as impressive outside of Carnival. Overall our short time in Rio was wonderful and both of us look forward to visiting the city again in the future. We would definitely recommend Gisela if you want a tour that will be catered to what you'd like to see and the time that you have in Rio.
