“Charge $120 just for bread and water”
Reviewed March 3, 2012

We had 4 people and out of a 450 bill 120 was for brad and bottled water. They kept bring us small baskets of bread with being asked to do so. We were never told that there was a charge for the bread and we never asked for a single basket. They brought about 4- 6 baskets of bread. The costs of out main course was about $30 each so we did not expect a bill this high. They were probably taking advantage of us because we do not speak l portuguese. They added a 12% fee for a tip. After paying this outrageous bill to the waiter he stood by the exit and gave us a nasty look as we left. We suspect that this was because we did not give him an extra too. This bill spoiled our experience.

“Good option for French food in Rio”
Reviewed January 7, 2012

I tried twice to go without booking and finally managed to dine there. If you look for good French food in Rio de Janeiro, that is a place to go. Not pretentious, cute and cosy but the tables are a bit too close to each other. Very attentive, knowledgeable service.
