“Nice place for music and carioca culture”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2013

Very often, this bar-restaurant has very nice brazilian bands and solo musicians. The meal is fair, tipically with snacks and drinks like caipirinha and others. Deserves a visit although it can be very busy on fridays/saturdays.

“Great night out.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2013

If you are looking for a fun night out this is it. We went for drinks, there was live music, loads of people and great atmosphere. About 10-15 mins from Copacabana

“Great samba music”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 3, 2013

An interesting nightclub in the Lapa district. It has a very good and energetic live band playing Samba music. There are two show times per evening, one at 8:30 and the other at 11:00. The show was approximately $R25 ($A13). Great night dancing or watching the talented local dancers.
The service was excellent.

“Samba, museum, and great food all together”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2013

You should be prepared to get there early. Remember the early bird gets the worm. It is a great place to see locals dancing samba. If you like to see the band you must stay at the first floor, but visit all 3 floors. House is at historical Lapa neighborhood, where samba was born in Rio de Janeiro. Decor is very special with museum like items and other very interesting items. Look all around including the ceiling.

“Fantastic Place For Dancing, Props, And People Watching”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 26, 2013

This is a place you go to for dancing, drinking, props, and people watching. The food is ok but that's not what you better be going there for. The music is live and if you are on the 1st or 2nd floors it's loud. There were 2 different bands the night we went that sounded completely different from each other. If you think that all Samba bands and music sound alike, you are wrong. The action really starts around 10:30-11:00PM. As people have said the place is very unique looking. Everything in it is from movies that were made in Rio, so it's all props. Everyone takes a walk around all 3 floors and sometimes even stop to dance. When it comes to Samba dancing people range from the experts to the begginers and nobody seems to care. It's great for Brasilians and the rest of us. Have Fun!
