“Great experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 12, 2014

We went for a jungle hike in January through Tijuca Forest and it was amazing. Very informative (I learnt a lot about Brazilian history as well as the nature) and great fun. Thiago was a fantastic guide (perfect English), the walk was really good but not too difficult (both myself and my partner are very unfit and found it fine). We saw wild monkeys and Toucans which was a real treat and the view when you get to the top is spectacular, very secluded and gives a panoramic view of a beautiful city. Would definitely reccommend, when we return we would like to do another walk with the company! Great fun!

“Great tour and guides!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2014

We had a great tour, the one called peaks and waterfalls or something like that. We were picked up on time by a superfriendly and eco-wise guide and taken on a pleasant walk in the atlantic rainforrest. We were also given an interesting lecture on brazilian and rio history- very good and educative. The walk is not hard, you do not have to be very fit do do it, and in the end you get to shower in a ice cold refreshing waterfall. The guides were super nice and informative, told us lots about the different trees and animals. This tour fits everyone from the real tree nerd to the person who just likes to take walks in a pretty environment.

“Jungel hike to Christ the Redeemer”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2014

Well organized tour, had a nice hike in the jungle and saw the Christ statue. We saw a lot a beautiful nature and wildlife animals during the hike. The guide was amazing, could tell a lot of the history of Rio and the area we hiked in and knew everything about the animals and nature. This tour can be highly recommended if you are in Rio.

“Tijuca Peaks and Waterfalls and Corcovado hike”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 11, 2014

I booked over internet before getting to Rio and the good reviews about these tours helped me look forward to my 2 fullday trips with Jungle Me....First was the peak and waterfalls, it had rained a couple of days before (but not a drop whilst there :) ) so waterfalls where lovely and full but the ground was not slimey. Thank goodness for the dense forest because it was about 36 degrees but the shade of the trees was welcoming. Thiago our guide was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a history brief and also pointed out various trees and plants and insects on our way up. I found the peaks and waterfalls challenging when we got to the top cos it felt exposed and i'm no good with heights...but with some helpful hints i just braced myself and next thing i know i was enjoying the view and having lunch at 1021m! Awesome experience. Next was another peak 917m - Fantastic euphoria! Soon it was time to go down again and this time it was more technical but again with the guide's help and the trekking stick they provided me, made it! The tour was challenging but yet we moved at a good pace and the waterfalls provided a welcome refreshing spot. The conversation ranged all topics and being a small group you get a chance to say something and be heard! We parted at the end of the tour very good friends. Next day i was again picked up by Thiago and this time for Corcovado we were 2 participants. They still held the tour which was greatly appreciated and we enthusiastically climbed up....Thiago making sure he took photos of us clinging to the iron chains to go up and calling out for us to smile, after having checked we were safe and knew what to do. The Corcovado may have been sharper and steeper, but less exposed. Going up to the Christ the Redeemer made me feel accomplished for not taking the easy route via bus or train...I didn't even dream of taking the bus or train on the way down...it felt so good and we saw blue butterflies and monkeys on the way...you don't see that with transport, it's too quick... Well thumbs up for an excellent 2 full days in a row....the service, the website, Anna, the guides,....very good and informative tours which made me fall in love with Tijuca Rainforest!

“Incredible day”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2014 via mobile

Just finished the Tijuca peak tour. I cannot recommend this enough. After a week of larging it up in Rio I fancied something different and this refreshed the parts other beer's could not reach.
Tito was an incredible guide; patient, knowledgeable, informative and in general an absolute legend.
If you fancy doing a tour of a rainforest with incredible views of Rio then this is the one for you. Afterwards he took us to a waterfall to cool down.
A perfect end to a perfect tour.
