“Delicious Bruschettas... And Much More!”
Reviewed May 9, 2012

Prima Bruschetteria is a great alternative for a meal any time of the day. Located in the heart of Leblon, one of Rio's trendiest neighborhoods alongside Ipanema, the restaurant offers a cozy and lively atmosphere (with an outdoor seating area!) filled with cool design elements (for instance their tall beverage fridges blend in with the tartan wallpaper). Their bruschettas are excellent - my favorite ones being: 1. Parma ham, goat's cheese and rucula... 2. Smoked salmon, mascarpone and sicilian lemon... 3. And for dessert definitely Nutella and toasted hazelnuts... And although the name might not indicate so, they serve some delicious risottos and pastas too! It is a point among "cariocas" and a definite "go-to" place!

“Excellent small Location for quick dining.”
Reviewed April 15, 2012

We went out for a quick snack in the eve for having a spritz and some snacks and it was fantastic. We had the big antipasti and it was enough for two. After that we had some bruschetta. Everything was excellent. The staff convinced us to try Brasilian red wine which was surprisingly good. A small hick up was the aperol spritz only made with soda - for 19 Real quite expensive. So next time vine only...

“Unique concept + fresh ingredients = success”
Reviewed March 28, 2012

I love trying new restaurants, but we always end up coming back to Prima. I love bruschetta, so having a restaurant that ONLY serves it is great.

At the moment my favorite is the brie with honey, but that is subject to change.

They also make a nice sangria....its not really sangria, but they call it that and its good, so there.

There is usually a wait, so get there early, or you can order from the sidewalk.

“Wonderful interpretation of classic Italian dish”
Reviewed November 17, 2010

Started off a wonderful adventure in Rio de Janeiro with dinner at Prima Bruschetteria, Chef Erik Nako’s creative interpretation of the classic Italian dish. This cozy, vibrant restaurant is just minutes from the beach and in the hip neighborhood of Leblon. The bread is made from Chef Erik’s own yeast starter and produced locally by one of Rio’s best bakers on a daily basis.

Some of the highlights included a carmelized pear on goat cheese, savory meat ragu, foie gras, brie/honey/walnuts. Also wonderfully decadent was the risotto with mushrooms and truffle oil. To top the night off, we enjoyed raspberries on marcarpone bruschetta and a tiramisu. Rinse that down with Erik’s handcrafted limoncello and the night is complete.
