We stayed in Villa Laurinda twice. At the beginning of our tour through Brazil and at the end. From the first moment we felt in love with the building / villa. The historic building from the colonial period is surrounded by a beautiful garden. Sitting by the pool in the shadow of the mango tree, eating delicious breakfast while listening to the sound of birds. Just a place to feel safe, home and to relax. Santa Teresa is obviously the most impressive historic part of Rio. With a visit in the neighborhood with its authentic Restaurants / Bars (Bar do Gomez & Bar de Minheiro) you will feel almost like a carioca. The owners and the management team are very friendly, helpful and gave us lot of useful tips getting around and finding the best spots of Rio. Try it out and find yourself dreaming in the garden, while the owner plays piano in its own library! Just unforgetable!
