Description: A place for hipsters, who gives value to the senses. The ViaSete was designed 11 years ago to be a counterpoint to the city noise, cement and asphalt. Innovative in essence, simple and sophisticated cuisine, is essentially Rio brand. We serve organic leafy vegetables, will grill meat, fish and poultry, avoiding fried foods and fats. However we are not radicals and believe that happiness is also freedom of choice. We use the best quality ingredients and our chefs are careful professionals who are proud to add love and a homemade touch to dishes they serve. The ViaSete is attentive to people's health and preserve the planet for future generations. We are partners of WWF-Brazil, the world's largest conservation NGOs and for over 10 years recycle cans, glass, paper, cooking oil and plastics.

New Year's day and 40 degrees, so sitting inside at Via Sete was cool and comfortable after the heat of the day. A bit predictable, but my companions had the Entrecote and the Picanhia steaks with mushrooms and chips, whilst I had the grillesd organic chicken breast, mushrooms and their delicious baked potato, and a honey sauce - great! I downed a couple of cooling chopp... beers from the tap, my friends, a delicious glass of Malbac, and a fruit cocktail, and we downed plenty of bottled water. Pudding followed: fresh fruit, chocolate pudding with pistacio ice cream, and flamed bananas with cinnamon ice cream and caramel sauce. 300 Reals... about £25 each. We left refreshed and happy.

I have been to this restaurant a couple of times and always enjoy it. The food was delicious and the picanha is really well prepared - to you liking.

We found this bistro quite by chance when walking along Garcia D Avila in Ipanema. We liked it so much that we returned once more.
The suggestion here is to arrive early for either lunch or dines because there is always a big line in front of it and the place is somewhat tiny.
It was a surprise for us to find out that besides being a cool place to sit down, relax and watch people go by, the food was also very good.
the first time we went for lunch and ordered fried calamares and a couple of very colorful fruit smoothies and they both tasted delicious. The second time, also for luck we ordered penne with spaghetti sauce. The sauce was just perfect.
The drawback is that the tables are very close together so besides hearing others peoples conversations you almost eat their food too.
Service also is on the slow side, but the waiters have to squeeze themselves between the tables.
