This place is about history and tradition in Rio with a large patio and a terrific view of the lagoon and all the people watching that goes with it. It's simple food, well-prepared with attentive waiters who do their job well. I think that it's terrific value for the cost. This isn't a restaurant for you if you need to be overwhelmed by decor and nouveau cuisine menus. But if that is you, go anyways as places like this with good honest food seem to be disappearing.
