“At Cococabana Forte”
Reviewed April 20, 2013

This is a lovely restaurant at the Forte - the tables outside look forward to Sugar Loaf and back to Cococabana and as the sun sets and the lights come on, it is very romantic. The food is very good and reasonably priced for the location and quality of food

“Triple star bakery and café.”
Reviewed April 17, 2013

Wauw. Living in Rio, I keep coming back. First of all it is a place where you can enjoy the classic architecture - it is almost art deco style. You feel like you are in Paris or Hungary. And you can get traditional portuguese bakery sweets like "pastel de belem". If you are dying for a rest on a sight-seeing, I recommend the tables and the wait. But if not, it is quite easy and quick to grab some of the delicious salads (baked meat breads) or doves (cakes and sweets). The bolinho de bacalhao - cod cake - is amazing. Coffee is high-end and the bathrooms are nice and clean.

“FORTE DE COPACANADA”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

The BEST place to eat on the surface of the PLANET EARTH.
The best view of the world.
Food is excellent.
Ask for salads and share the dish. Too much (excellent) food.
Have coffee, have sweets. And regret you must leave the place.

“Beautifull. Good food.”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

Not 5 stars because of the price (little expensive) but you have to go when visiting the centre. try the "pastel de nata".

“A Must See Point to Visit”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

If you like an environment with a refined atmosphere, then you'll enjoy the Confeitaria Colombo. Since 1894, with its original mirrors and Belgian frames, Carrara marble, stained glass, they may need to restore some things, but ultimately well worth knowing. On the ground floor with the most delicious "salgados e doces" typical Brazilian and Portuguese. The antique elevator also leads to the lunch buffet. I experienced the best pumpkin "escondidinho jerky" and a fillet of chicken with brie cheese and apricot, very flavorful and more ...
It is located in the "Centro do Rio"(downtown) and If you go by subway ( very clean), get off at the "Estação Carioca".
