“Boteco, not bar!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 28, 2013

Jobi is the translation of Boteco (not a bar)
Always packed with a enormous variety of people, from politicians to workers.
It is a place to enjoy carioca's way of life. Bermuda, t-shirts, loud conversations, little room to move around
But the combination of draft beer (please, use the right word: chope, the Portuguese name for it. Not chopp) and the amazing finger foods, some of then not in the menu, is paradise's main entrance. Do not leave rio without stoping by. Mean it

“Dont. Just don't.”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 24, 2013

I don't know what the buzz is about this place. It's always full, the food is awful, the service takes FOREVER, and the price is high. I went there with friends and left after 20 minutes waiting for a drink. Don't do it.

“A Leblon institution”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 6, 2013

Jobi is a Leblon institution— and it's open daily from 9 am to 4 am. A traditional and very very popular “Boteco” (Inn) where Brazilian locals basically come here to eat and drink beer. (When I came here – I didn’t see a single tourist). Make sure you order a ‘Chopp” (which is basically, beer on tap. The bolinho de bacalhau (mini cod cakes) is apparently the best in town.

“Streetside”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2013

I love this bar. It's beside a busy street in Leblon - not the most auspicious of locations, but it's good fun, the barmen are suitably moody when needs be, they are gentlemen of the old school, can get a bit grumpy and well French at times, but with a cheeky grin at the same time.
The food is fabulous too - constantly changing menu and lots of good fish dishes.
Small, busy every night and a good crowd.

“A Leblon classic”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2013 via mobile

Jobi is a neighborhood classic so I had to go despite the wait.
W waited for almost 40 minutes drinking beer chops in the streets. Then we were seated in a very tight space.
The food was ok. Average at best. The service was slow but friendly.

we liked the overall experience of dining at Jobi and watching the people around us :)
