Ideal for buying some reasonably priced souvenirs in a friendly atmosphere. We bought some Havianas and sampled their homemade version of white rum with different flavours..clean toilets available!!

Great shop. Very friendly staff who speak Spanish and English. They let you try their cachaca for free. And it is the BEST cachaca in Rio. I ended up buying three different flavors and plan to go again to get some more. Make sure to pay them a visit.

Very helpful and conversational staff helped me find the perfect souvenirs I could for friends and family while in Rio!!! They speak English incredibly well, and were very nice!! Shop was well laid out and orderly. Will definitely visit again for gifts. It is SO close to the Lapa Steps as well. Take a peek if you go to see the steps... It'll be worth the visit!

We stumbled on this quaint souvenir shop after visiting the Selaron Steps. The staff speak English, and offered us samples of their homemade cachaca - banana, coffee, fruitcake and original. Soooo good, we bought a bottle of each, and coffee beans. Can't wait to try them at home.
When we asked him for the location of the nearest McDonalds so we could use the free internet to order an Uber, he generously offered us access to his WiFi. Don't miss this shop, just talking to him is worth the visit.

Lapa e Arte is a really cool shop with souvenirs and art just steps away from Escadaria Selaron. Their staff also speaks English and Spanish. They will let you taste test the homemade cachaça in different flavors like banana, coffee, cinnamon, and traditional.
