Excelent and very tasty and good restaurant at Barra. They serve you salad, Side dishes and meat at your will and you dont even need to stand. Incredible, very much recomend it

From many grill restaurants that i had visited this is one of my favorites. Exclusive meat specially prepared, it values our visit. I recommend “picanha” “olho de bife”, salada Waldorf and banana frita. Supreme!

Mocellin is a good steak house at the beginning of Barra da Tijuca. However, I expected a bit more, due to some recommendations from friends and also the good reviews. Service was far from perfect, we were sitting around without any meat for quite a while, that shouldn’t happen.

It took us about 1 hour 20 minutes in a taxi during rush hour to get to Mocellin Steak from Copacabana Beach. This is an upscale Brazilian steakhouse that really does a great job in meat preparation and service. The server initially comes to your table to have you order the side dishes and presents you with a two sided (Red & Green) round placemat that tells the server whether you want more (Green) or stop for now (Red). Needless to say, you keep it on green until you can't eat anymore. There are many different types of meat that are presented (chicken, sausage and a number of different types of steaks). After sampling and eating all the different delicious pieces of meat, we had no room for dessert ;-). The ride back to our hotel only took about 25 minutes. It was well worth the long drive to get Mocellin Steak for a Great meat dining experience.
