“Really worth it.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2013

OK, so half the fun was "skating" around in the slippers... no seriously, this museum is really interesting. The music room was the best - what gorgeous furniture. The table is beautifully set up as though it's ready to be used. Highly recommendable!

“Good for a couple of hours”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2013

We did a guided tour of this facility. It took about 2 hours to explore all the rooms. No photography is allowed inside, which was a bit of a shame, since some of it was quite interesting. The most interesting fact was the lack of any shower/bath facilities for the royal family....yuck. I guess they weren't concerned about hygiene or smell.

“Very small”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2013

If you have an hour to spend, go there, but do not expect anything like a palace in Europe. It's is more a mid sized stately home.
Entrance was 8 Rials, which I think is fair.

“Back to the Second Empire”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 23, 2013

Visit this museum is the best way to understand the history of the brazilian second empire. At the museum is possible to see how was the royalty's behavior thru the furniture and another personal things. Everything in the museum is pretty clean and preserved and in the night there is a perfect show of sound and light.

“Beautiful”

The museum is beautiful inside and out. it is in the middle of the forest with lots of huge trees. Inside you have to wear this oversize slippers. The kids loved it. Great place to visit!
