“So dreamy”
Reviewed January 22, 2014

A beach close to nowhere, white sand and palms over your head... If you chose get there on a boat you have to walk 10 minutes across the "jungle" with monkeys playing over your head in a little hill, but totally worth it!!

“Best beach in Brazil”
Reviewed January 19, 2014

Our guide book said that this was probably the best beach in Brazil, and it could well be right. The beach is about 3km long, and most people stay at one end. If possible, move further along the beach and you will have the place to yourself. About 2.5 hours walk from the main town, worth the walk (or get a boat).

“Hard earned paradise”
Reviewed January 18, 2014

After hiking through the jungle for 2 hours, you reach an opening which reveals one of the most spectacular beaches I've ever seen, Lopes Mendes! After crossing the fine white sand, all your aches and pains are soothed as the warm turquoise waters engulf you... After a well-deserved rest in this slice of heaven, you can shorten your trip back to town using a ferry boat.

“Wonderful Beach”
Reviewed January 17, 2014

One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been! In order to get there I recommend taking a taxi-boat either directly to this beach or to beach before (I forget the name now) and walk fifteen minutes: this second option almost halves the cost of the taxi-boat. There aren't any fixed restaurants but sufficient vendors with drinks and you will find plenty of shade under the trees on the border of the beach. The beach is both long and large and you will be able to choose a place either close to other people or in solitude if you walk a bit further.

“Beautiful”

Stunning and definitely worth a visit. Take some food and drinks as there's only basics there. It's a fabulous day out, white sand and blue waters. Gorgeous.
