What a beautiful little spot! Its about 40-ish minutes from Vila Abraao, by speedboat. The water is so clear and so green! The boats stop at the shallow part by the rock formations to swim and snorkel. There were so many fish! Our tour guide threw bread so the fish would swarm us ..it was so cool! We even found some starfish.
This little beach is very popular but we liked it because it didn't seem overly 'touristy'. When we went there were 2 other boats with about 15 other people but still didn't feel crowded despite it being a fairly small place.

Amazing green ("verde") warm water with nice small colored fishes and turtles - excellent for snorkeling!

Lagoa Verde is not a real lagoon, it's a division of 2 beach, in a middle of two rocks, very clear and very green. Could be very crowded in sunny days (in summer, or in national holidays) , many boat full of tourist go there and don't have any control to how many people or boats could stay there.

There is a float restaurant there, only accessibly by boat

Our trip took place between 18 and 24 September and the 3 days 2 nights in Ilha Grande was just amazing when we took a break from Rock In Rio.
We had the full day boat trip around the Island which gave us a great idea of its many beachs and Lagoa Verde was definatelly one of the highlights during a very sunny day we could spot loads of colorful fishes in crystal clear water. The lovely staff from the hotel and boat pilots as well as the very welcoming atmosphere contributed to a perfect time.

Lagoa Verde is the not to miss place when in Rio.
