We ate at Peixe Vivo after being ambushed at their entrance. I say ambushed but he was a nice fellow with good English who persuaded us in and we had walked much further away from Buzios and seen nothing that interested us and we were on the return leg heading back for Buzios. I should add that it was the height of the low season (mid July) and the place was deserted. We decided to sit at the sea front of their deck but had to abandon as one of our party got splashed by a wave and another was cold! All was not bad though as they have a great pizza oven, produced great pasta and their catch of the day, a whole very large anchovy was delicious but too big for two. Great service (there were two more guests when we left at 9.30 so the staff safely outnumbered the guests, so no less could be expected) but for 4 starters and 4 mains + a bottle of Chilean SB and assorted mineral waters we were a mouth watering R$ 480!
Nice but the cost far exceeded the value.
Suggestion - ask to see the catch of the day before you order it. Ours was way too big.
