Rua das Pedras is one of the most famous tourist streets in Brazil. It's lined with up-market boutiques and restaurants but it's fallen behind other similar streets in upmarket resorts around the world. The famous 'pedras' have plenty of gaps and holes in between them - no problem for the happy Brazilians who are used to uneven surfaces but a nightmare for tourists from other parts of the world. The whole place could do with a wash-down on a regular basis too.

Loved the shops and restaurants on this street. Very busy at night and ends on a beautiful walk by the Bardot Coast with quaint little boats parked along the way.

There are best restaurants, bars and shops and later night clubs. And whats the best: Brazilian friendliness and atmosphere. Rua das Pedras = stone street, that's why its difficult to use wheelchair and trolleys.
