The hotel is located away from Buzios downtown (Rua das Pedras), but by the sea.
Downstairs you can reach the Joao Fernandes beach, plenty of bars, and another small one for families. You can park the car at the street, safe place, like all at Buzios.
The staff was very friendly, not very fluent in English, but helpful to indicate your needs at the city. They can arrange for you a transfer service from and to the Rio International airport.
The double room was spacious and comfortable. Always clean, fill with fresh towels and bath amenities. It has a small safe, but you need to pay a fee to use it. It doesn´t has elevators, a good opportunity to take some stairs (not good for wheel chairs).
Internet is available only at the lobby.
It has a restaurant bar with great view, and a swimming pool with bar service well attended where you can have a snack and let the kids play around; the breakfast service had different items, all of them of quality.
Great location to take a rest far from noise, lights and computers.

Room Tip: Room 117 has a balcony with a great sea and beach view to have a drink, as well as the room 104 (suite).

Great hotel on top of a hill in Buzios. It has direct access to Joao Fernandes and Joao Fernandinha beaches. The hotel is pretty large, has a great pool and lounge. The gardens are also nice to sit out in the evenings. The room was very clean and spacious and the views we had to the sea were awesome. Breakfast was incredible! Lots of fruit, ham, bread, etc. Dinner was not so good and I recommend you go out for dinner to the town. The only down side is that town is a little far and you need to either walk to the bus stop, taxi or rent a buggy. All in all a very recommendable hotel to stay at.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the top rooms with a sea view overlooking Joao Fernandes beach

My husband and I went for our wedding anniversary to this hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. The location is great because it is right next to one of the great beach. Although you can walk to town, we rented a little car to get around. We enjoyed the hotel, but Buzios was very touristy and busy. It was hard to find parking close to the beaches and the beaches are packed with people.

Location, location, location...there are two beaches right here...one is small and quiet while the other is large and loaded with restaurants. They are both clean with beautiful blue green water. The main town is only a 5 min 15R ($10) cab ride away (crazy windy steep hills...& bus service not where it should be).

The hotel rooms are clean and basic and have a plasma TV. Wi-Fi available in the lobby free. The staff was very nice...and I met one of the co-owners who was a great guy. A nice buffet breakfast is included in the price. In regards to price I noticed some reviews complaining about this. It's not the hotel it's the entire industry in Brazil, there is not enough competition and that needs to change. Likely it will with the upcoming World Cup & Olympics being hosted nearby in Rio.

The room and the reception had a damp musty smell, which is very inconvenient, specially if you have allergies. The chairs and tables are all rusted, the TV couldn't be any smaller.
Open areas are good. Locations is not so close to main town, but the beach is great and the view is just amazing. The breakfast is good and the restaurant view is also very nice.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel due to the bad smell that almost made me go back home.
