Make sure you stay in apartment #15 to get the best view of all apartments. Very cosy room and all staff is very polite and helpful. Well decorated and charming!! It counts with 2 swimming pools and great chilling areas. Truly recommend!

Good part: The view and the breakfast; Bad part: very small bedrooms, tiny swimming pool, noisy and old air conditioning disturbing a good sleep at night and finally, burned bulges in the bedroom and more important - electricity wires exposed putting customers in danger. There are better value for money choosing different hotels around. Definitely Joao Fernandes beach is the best option in Buzios but Pousada Praia Joao Fernandes is not the right place to stay there!

We visited BUzios and decided to stay in this "pousada" because it looked very nice and, to be honest, its location is EXCELLENT! Excellent view as well. The staff is very nice and friendly, the ladies in charge of breakfast and snacks were great people! This place offers breakfast included in the price and it also offers snacks and dinner service (of course this is something you have to pay extra). If you plan on having dinner here you may have to order in the afternoon specially if you decide to have an elaborated or too gourmet dish (such as seafood or some special fish which requires long time preparation). You have up to 8 pm to order. This service ends at 9 pm.
As regards the place, as I said before it is two blocks from praia JOão FErnandez, it is an excellent location! This pousada also has a little swimming pool and a very nice deck where you can sunbathe or simple read your favourite book or drink a caipirinha at night!
Although we enjoyed our stay, wi-fi signal didn't reach our room, the room needed more ventilation, there was a problem in our bathroom with the toilet that they never solved even though we have asked them to do so in repeated ocassions; the window didn't have any glass or protection against mosquitoes, something essencial especially in this kind of places full of insects. A further thing we didn't like was a little open window in our room that was connected to the hallway, so it was kind of noisy and light entered all night!
There are some things that could make the stay better that's why I gave only three points. This details make a difference. Hope this was helpful! Enjoy!

A disfrutar!

At one minute walking from the beach, this small pousada is located in a more quiet part in the Buzios peninsula. Rooms are small and charming. Ours was a bit noisy, since we were close to the service area and the exit of the pousada. Breakfast is basic but sufficient; the room has a fridge, a/c, fan, wifi and a shower where little warm water comes from. The pousada has a small pool for children - but of course you will prefer one of the many beaches in Buzios! Walking to the centre (Rua das pedras) is nice (20 minutes, also possible to take a bus) and there are plenty of good restaurants along the way.

Beautiful and wonderfully situated Pousada overlooking the lovely beach of Joao Fernandes.
The hotel is a small family run establishment and as such has that warm friendly and relaxed atmosphere that a sun baked family like mine were looking for.
The breakfast selection was delicious and varied, with some of the most wonderful homemade cakes I have tried in Brazil.
Our room was cosy and thankfully air-conditioned as the temperature was hot! The view of the sunsets from the reception/restaurant area were wonderful.
The manager and his wife are warm friendly people and the pet parrot cocotta kept my son amused on several occasions.
Very little to fault about this Pousada the only possible drawback for some would be that you have to walk a little way to the main restaurant area but as such it is quieter and more relaxed (we managed it with a 4 year old in 15 mins anyway).
Highly recommend this beautiful Pousada.
