This hotel has 2 main topics and each of them rated differently (for me). Outside areas: very nice indeed, well kept, great also for children, nearby with a small shopping centre and supermarket. Inside/rooms: very very basic, would not rate it as a 4star hotel and pretty sure Golden Tulip could look after its quality by refurbishing the interiors.
Breakfast very good and staff very nice and polite. However the interiors do leave a less good impression...

The mess starts at the reception. Each check in took over 20 minutes and we were a group of 11. The receptionist did not even know how to register me and my husband as we have different nationalities. After that we included another guest for one night and when we came to sleep the bed was not done as they said it would be. Therefore at 2 am we were walking around to get bed linen and had to make the bed ourselves. The room besides the lift is a nightmare, you can hear the lift going up and down all the time. Also the sound isolation is very poor. You can hear everything that goes on outside the room, from people talking to parties in the neighborhood. Do not trust the taxi service they reccomend. When we tried to reach them after modnight they would not answer, and after an hour they answered and wanted to charge us the way to pick us up + the trip to the hotel. To finalize the food taked forever at their restaurant and the common toilets were always very dirt.

Rooms are big and cheep, with a great view. Breakfast is good and not so trashy for a brasilian breakfast place. Dinner, is not so good; being a little too junky and basic. The swimming pool sucks ! It is always freezing and the "Hot tub" is never really that hot. The layout is cute but i did have to walk a marathon just to get to my room.

Room Tip: Get a room on the right side of the hallway so you can get a good view and and easy passage to the pool and restaurant.

I had a great time here! Staff was very kind and welcoming, rooms were comfy and that swimming pool is amazing!! Infinity pool overlooking the harbor with nice pool bar, the best times. The only downsides is that wifi hardly works and there's no food available for vegans (or lacto's), not for dinner (even the pastas and salads have cheese, and without it it's not really good) and not for breakfast, besides the fruit. For a advanced hotel like this in a very vegan-friendly country I'm surprised they didn't go ahead with their time when it comes to this matter.

Besides that, nothing but happiness.

I stayed in this hotel various times over the last 10 years. It is very nice with ample rooms. The restaurant serves good food at honest prices. Good for business trips and family trips. The personnel attending is very nice.
