Owner description: The Parque das Aves is an essential tour for visitors of Foz do Iguassu, located near the Cataratas do Iguassu, beside the Iguassu National Park. In the Parque das Aves you will experience a direct contact with more than 1320 birds from about 143 different species. There are 16.5 hectares of lush Atlantic Rainforest maintained to provide the best habitat for our animals. This is a tour like no other. It is an unique and unforgettable experience in which you will find amazing birds. Enter our immersion aviaries to feel the beat of wings from vibrant macaws and look into the eyes of a toucan. There is plenty to feel and enjoy - beauty is everywhere and that is what motivates us every day to work for the preservation of our fauna and flora. We take into our care birds that are no longer in condition to continue living in nature and keep them in an environment where they can live happily. You are an essential part of this project. All you need to do to help preserve it is to enter into the experience with all your senses.

If you are going to visit the Parque Nacional do Iguaçu (the waterfalls), include the Parque das Aves in your schedule. Admission is inexpensive and a couple of hours will suffice to see and enjoy part of the amazing South American fauna and flora. Worth a visit!

The place itself is all decorated as if it was a real habitat for the birds. It's a bit hot so be sure to wear comfy clothing and bring water.
The vast diversity of birds that are available to see at this park is just stunning. My favorite one was the Toucan. I've never seen such a beautiful animal like that bird.
Also, they let us take a picture holding a blue, tamed parrot in our arms. I was able to snap amazing pictures there.
At last, I can say you should go to the Bird Park right before you go to the Falls on the brazilian side, since it's very close (like, a walkable distance). It is a beatiful place, you get in contact with nature, and it really isn't that expensive.

It was an awesome "walk through the jungle" - finding out about so many different bird species and kinds, some that are at risk of extinction, which is sad! - and so many others that I did not imagine existed. You will have to walk a lot, so be prepared with comfy shoes and lots of water!

You will need at least 3 hours to see all the birds. The birds are well looked after and the staff all seem to be enthusiastic about there jobs. The lady that started the bird park started with African Grey but had grown into a wide array of birds and parrots. Kids will love the trip around the bird cages. The toucans are very cool .

Try avoid public holidays and weekends as I believe it starts to heave with crowds. Need peace to really enjoy the experience !

Walked through the park with friends and really enjoyed it, watch out for the Toucans sitting on the walkway bannister they love getting their photograph taken. You can have your picture taken with a parrot or a boa constrictor at the end of your walk.
Look out for the mirrors in the Flamingo cage its there to make them think there are more flamingos.
