Owner description: The Parque das Aves is an essential tour for visitors of Foz do Iguassu, located near the Cataratas do Iguassu, beside the Iguassu National Park. In the Parque das Aves you will experience a direct contact with more than 1320 birds from about 143 different species. There are 16.5 hectares of lush Atlantic Rainforest maintained to provide the best habitat for our animals. This is a tour like no other. It is an unique and unforgettable experience in which you will find amazing birds. Enter our immersion aviaries to feel the beat of wings from vibrant macaws and look into the eyes of a toucan. There is plenty to feel and enjoy - beauty is everywhere and that is what motivates us every day to work for the preservation of our fauna and flora. We take into our care birds that are no longer in condition to continue living in nature and keep them in an environment where they can live happily. You are an essential part of this project. All you need to do to help preserve it is to enter into the experience with all your senses.

“What you won't see in the Amazon”
Reviewed October 5, 2012

Really well looked after animals in big cages which look natural and allow the birds to fly at will. New even bigger cages are being built for the macaws though. You can get up close and personal to macaws, parrots and tucans and take close up pcs you won't get in the wild.

“Worth the visit”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

Loved being able to see the birds up so close. The macaws and toucans were a highlight, but so so too the butterflies.

“we spent longer than we expected here”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

This was a wonderful way to experience some of the wildlife of South America. As well as an amazing collection of birds the butterfly and hummingbird section was really worth a visit. The toucans were great characters and I was intrigued to have seen (if dormant) an anaconda and a boa constrictor to appreciate their size. It is a well run park and i do not usually like animals in captivity.

“A must visit”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

This is one of the best wildlife attractions I've visited. There are small cages/aviaries but then you get to walk through a number of large enclosures and get up close and personal with the birds - a bird pooped on my head (good luck they say?), a curassow attacked my camera and a toucan tried to eat my shoe. Fabulous!!
