Stayed in this hotel for a week as a business traveller. This hotel gets it right: impeccable hygiene and cleanliness, great staff always caring and prepared to help. Good service, a working minibar in the room with plenty of water (needed in Foz!), quiet, stable and fast wifi in the room. A special mention for the excellent catering services: high variety of healthy and fresh products at breakfast, and in-house Italian restaurant, a la carte dining and for a quicker and cheaper lunch or dinner, a smaller restaurant also with caring and excellent staff. Looks like a family hotel, run locally, and obviously well-managed. Taxi stand in front of hotel, so transport is always at your fingertips. I do certainly recommend it, and will gladly use it again when back in Foz.

We find the hotel comfortable enough at a decent price. It has a very efficient English speaking tour desk which took care of our transport to the Brazilian Iguacu falls, a one day fully guided tour to the Argentine falls and airport shuttle to Foz Iguacu Airport at reasonable rates. An unexpected heavy rain marred our day at Argentina Iguazu falls but this was somewhat mitigated by the lovely lady guide (Marlin – pardon the spelling) who went all out to make sure we make the most of our day in Iguazu. We also like the hotel for the buffet dinner they served on their “Italian Night” much raved about in earlier posts (we were lucky enough to be there on a Wed!) The dinner buffet was certainly delish enough to draw patrons who do not stay at the hotel and service was laudable. Had a Riesling (not included in the buffet) and it was good value for money. Breakfast choices was plentiful (buffet-style) and above expectations. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Very fond memories of the 3 nights we spent at Bella Itallia. Comfortable and friendly hotel. Rooms reasonable size, ours was 301 on the back so nice and quiet but there's no view to speak of, bed nice and comfortable. Tour agent (Loumar) based in the foyer which is convenient for booking guided excursions. Breakfast is excellent, huge variety and quality. There's a modern shopping centre just a few minutes walk away which is convenient.
Visit Vo Bertila Italian restaurant for good food, definitely recommend the pizza.

Visit the falls from both Argenina and Brazillian side. We took a day tour to the Argentine side where there are extensive walks among the falls, highlight is to stand at the top of the marvalihosa Gargantua do Diablo, be warned the spray will wet you. you can also take the jungle safari and boat trip that will speed you up river and right under some of the waterfalls which will soak you so take and wear suitable cloths for this part. they give you a large waterproof bag into which you can put everything you want to keep dry. After they drop you to walk back up among the falls.

For the Brazil side we did in half day by taking a taxi from the rank outside the hotel, cost was R$45 and for the return we took the local bus which stops right outside the park for about R$3. When arriving at the park entrance there's a hop on hop of bus which drives the 12km right to the falls area, get off where you want, there's stops for bike/hike trail, abseil / rapel, inflatable white water boat rides or just walk amongst the magnificent panoramic views. The whole thing is very well organised with very good facilities, toilets, refreshments, souvenirs
We also spent 1/2 day to visit Cidade de leste in Paraguay for a shopping trip but it's not worthwhile apart from just to have a look around the knock off street market. Supposedly tax free but didn't see any real bargains.

Room Tip: Suggest avoid rooms on the main road side, quietest ones on the back side.

Very Old looking. Needs a make over like 20 years ago.

Lumar Tur never picked us up from the airport with the free shuttle from the Hotel.

When asked the reception was told that the flight was late 40 mins so they left. What????

1st room AC was so loud sounded like a 18 wheeler truck was inside the room. Night number 1
Day 2 switched rooms because of the AC = to the other room.

Rooms were small and old looking ours smelled like mold and had to have the windows open durning the day time.

After talking with reception they switched my room to a bigger room with no up charge. Bathroom was nasty but delt with is for the nights there. Did not want to switch for the 3rd time. It is about 7 blocks from were the night life is in the city.

DO NOT USE LURMAR TOUR LOCATED INSIDE THE HOTEL.
You can see the Dam and the Falls by city bus and going to Payaguary just take the city bus from the Rodoviaria for R$ 4,50 just a 5 min walk to the Rodoviaria from the hotel.

Taxi to Argentina will cost about R$ 100

Room Tip: Look at the bathrooms first.

I don't like it when hotel's staff are not to be trust....
They promised a free shottle from the airport (it wasn't there...)
They said that in the Iguazu falls there are no lockers, it's not true!
Breakfast was good

Room Tip: there are lockers at the falls. Don't believe the hotel's staff if they say otherwise
