After nearly 30 hours of airplanes & airports, it was great to arrive at the Bella Italia & feel good about our hotel choice near the falls. It's a quaint place on a relatively quiet street that is near a major shopping center. The staff was most gracious, willing to assist us in any way. A little extra amenity was a coffee/tea/water station in the lobby for the guests. The lobby had a gift shop, a cozy seating area, & a bar that served up a good caipirinha (our first & arguably our best in our 2 1/2 week stay in Brazil). Our room on the 3rd floor was clean & comfortable, though a bit on the "smallish" side. Appreciated the thermostatically-controlled AC, which worked quite well -- a necessity in this hot/humid area of Brazil. Minimal bath amenities, but having a hairdryer was a major plus for my wife. We LOVED the pool/patio area. After 2 fun but enervating days at Iguacu Falls, taking a refreshing dip in the pool was always invigorating. Free Wi-Fi & a safe added to the conveniences. Having the nearby indoor shopping center turned out to be a real plus, too. 2 of the 3 nights we were too tired to go "restaurant-hunting," so we took advantage of the extensive food court at the center. Never thought I'd be complimenting food-court fare in a foreign country, but here I am doing it. People come to this area to see these majestic falls. They need to stay somewhere, & I don't think you would be disappointed by staying at the Bella Italia.

Two senior couples recently spent 3 nights at the Bella Italia. Pluses include good a/c, large screen TV, small pool & patio, super breakfast buffet with a great assortment of foods, & proximity to a large mall with a food court. Negatives: small room, no bath amenities except for a bar of soap. Also, no stopper for the sink (which we also encountered at 2 other Brazil hotels) & no wash cloths (we packed our own).
Staff was friendly & helpful. We enjoyed the pool/patio each afternoon after our excursions. We didn't want to spend much time for dinner, so were glad for the food court. One evening we did go to the Latin American dinner show at Rafain; will write a review later.

Room Tip: Our rooms were on the back; no problem with street noise. But of course we can't compare!

We stayed here for three nights. It was clean, well maintained and our room was lovely and spacious with thermostatically controlled air conditioning. There weren't many staff who spoke English but they were helpful none the less.

Breakfast was amazing - the biggest choice I have ever had anywhere. We were even able to eat before our 4.20am transfer bus. The small restaurant was ok - we had one bad meal and one very good one, we avoided the main restaurant as the music on the saturday night was a bit rough (and very loud, we could hear it in our room - we thought it was karaoke!). One of the desk staff (who spoke excellent English) gave us a restaurant recommendation (for a place which picked us up and brought us back afterwards) and it was absolutely brilliant. There was filtered water and tea and coffee available in the lobby at all times which was great.

We booked our trips through the hotel desk, the Argentinian one especially was good value and excellent (really cute tour guide!).

Overall, good value and a very pleasant experience, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area

We stayed for two nights for a quick visit to the Falls, The staff were friendly and helpful and the tour office in the lobby was fantastic and made it easy to organise tours quickly. The room itself was smallish and older style - but clean. There was confusion upon check-in re the rooms we had and we put some laundry in & got someone elses back - but both these issues were fixed quickly. Location was near a big supermarket but not close to the main street.

On a recent trip to Brazil we used this as a base for three nights to see the Iguacu falls. In general, it was reasonably priced, clean, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. We used the agents in the lobby of the hotel to book our trips and again they were very helpful and the trips were well organised and competitively priced. The hotel itself is quite dated and in need of a refurb but everything was spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable.
We had lunch twice in the 'Dolce Vita' on site, the food was standard burger/steak roll fare but tasty. It's quite an odd area with lots of wood panelling and signs for the US 'Route 66' and other places absolutely nothing to do with Brazil or Foz. One evening we ate in the on site restaurant which was less satisfactory. They were playing 50's American diner music, not what i'd expect from an 'Italian' restaurant. The staff were attentive to the point of harrassment, it was a bit awkward. The dishes we both ordered did not resemble any italian meal I have seen or tasted and my partners risotto tasted a little like chicken super noodles (made with rice). I have seen better reviews for their cold meat, antipasti, and cheeses, - I wish I'd opted for these at the time as we were very disappointed with our meal.
All in all though a pleasant stay at a hotel clearly built when the Dam required accommodation for Americans. Please note; you will need your US electrical socket adaptors as these are installed in all the rooms.

We stayed for 3 nights, positives were excellent service, good range of breakfast, free wifi, complimentary pick up from airport and location near a shopping mall. It is a 15 mins walk to the bus station to take the bus to the Iguazzu national park. Wifi in my room were not strong as well. Overall, good value for money.

A confortable hotel to stay while in Foz do Iguaçu. Nice beds and clean sheets e bathrooms. Good breakfast buffet. The only thing i found bad was that we have to pay to use the internet. Besides that, all went normally. A facility - A travel agency on the next house, where we could rent a car and buy tickets atractions - Loumar Turismo.

Room Tip: Room on the first floor you don´t need to wait for the elevator.
