Reviewed July 31, 2012

We stayed here for two nights in July and were pleased with our choice. It was just what we wanted for our short stay in Foz. The location of the hotel is a great bonus - only 5 mins from the bus terminus and not far from decent restaurants. The service was good and the breakfast quite impressive.
This is an excellent value for money establishment which extends whatever help they can to make your stay an enjoyable one. The rooms are quite large and clean. I have never found the practice of placing clean towels on a bed 'gross' and so cannot complain about that and I noticed that all the beds in the establishment were being replaced when we were there. A good sign that mamagement are continually upgrading their material.
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the region for a few days. It has all you could possibly ask for in a hotel of its size and standard.

We had an absolute fantastic 3 night stay at Aguas do Iguacu Hotel. This hotel felt more like a 4 star hotel and deserves each star rating (***) bestowed on it. The entrance lobby is neat, modern and spacious with comfortable lounge suites for the guests. The passages are decorated with beautiful photos of overseas locations that give the hotel a real traveller's feeling. The tiled floors are shiny and clean creating a welcoming atmosphere. We had a beautiful, spacious and comfortable double bedroom with en-suite. The full buffet breakfast caters for all with a variety of hot and cold dishes. There are so many dishes to choose from and all the food choices are very tasty. The reception staff members were very friendly, speaking English fluently. The hotel is within walking distance from the central bus terminal (300m) for local or international bus either to the Argentina or Brazilia side of the Iguassu Falls. A variety of fast food stores are located within metres of the front door as well as a pharmacy right next door with an ATM inside. Our room was well worth the rate. We really had a wonderful stay and surely recommend this hotel to anybody travelling to Foz. You will not be disappointed. Come on, book your stay right away at Aguas do Iguacu Hotel!

The hotel itself is basic and what you pay for - a decent place to sleep, no major trimmings. The night staff in reception however were brilliant. I never usually have much interaction with hotel staff other than check in/check out, however due to my own stupidity we didn't get stamped into Brazil and had to sort this out before we left for the airport, whilst managing time to visit the Brazil side of the falls as well. They helped us decide how to go about it, got us a cab at mate's rates (the guy showed us the meter and still charged us the cheap price), gave us advice on where to dine (we were going to go with Muffato but apparently the place next to Golden Tulip a few blocks away was better and it was tasty!) and generally made us feel pretty good about staying there. The wi-fi worked, breakfast was vast, even by Argentinian buffet standards, staff spoke English well (do you know how to say "Brother from another Mother" in Portuguese??) The place was generally clean, the coverlet on the bed was a little marked and we decided against using it - note that you don't need to in that climate. The pool outback actually looked usable and there was disabled access which was rare! I would say the safe in the room was totally laughable (coin operated) but it was worth taking a picture of.

Word of warning, Foz generally seems quite scary at night as the streets are a little more spaced out and industrial in parts as you drive in, but the location near the hotel fills up nicely with people sitting in plastic chairs eating dinner outside so even as two girls, we didn't sweat too much about it and was able to walk to dinner with no hassle at all.

Decent location and excellent value for money. If you're staying in town as a tourist, all you're probably going to need is a base to explore the waterfalls. This hotel adequately serves the purpose. Wi-Fi works - the rooms are spacious - there's a travel agent next door (and in-house) - the complimentary pick-up was punctual.

Lucas is a rock star. Very helpful. Rooms aren't elegant, but get the job done. Room lockboxes are too small to be very helpful. Lobby is cool. Always a good soccer game going on. Tour shop in hotel lobby. Very friendly, but much cheaper options on your own. We did booking.com and I have to say that it is the last time I'll use that service.

Staff is friendly. Location is awesome. Rooms are decent. Breakfast is very good. I'd stay there again. Five stars for lower price or nicer rooms.

Room Tip: Didn't have fitness center or spa.

We stayed for two nights in this hotel when visiting the falls... and it was chilly - about 5 degrees! but the room has ample hot water supply- which is really good and is big !

The hotel is only two blocks away from bus terminal, about 4 blocks from a shopping mall, a lot of local restaurants - arabic food easily available....evenings are grand as most people will sit in open air bars with beers - amazing environment
The room was clean and a baby crib was provided for my 1 year old !
Staff at the front desk and overall - very very friendly and cheerful and spoke english - very helpful in planning your stay ..
Another thing i'd like to add is the really good breakfast available - both veg and non veg - many options though the hotel doesnt have a restraunt but food can be ordered and delivered from out ....
Internet in room was high speed and you can get access to internet for any number laptops etc..
only short coming could be - for the not many winter months in brazil - i wud have preferred the room to be equipped with some heating options ......
the airport pick up was complimentary and the return cost us about 40 BRL in taxi

We stayed for two nights in this hotel when visiting the falls.

Location: Two blocks away from bus terminal, a lot of local restaurants and pharmacies around.
Room: Linen wasn't as clean as I would expect, bathroom was clean.
Stafss: Very friendly and helpful staffs.
Breakfast: Very good hot and cold breakfast.
Wifi: You need to ask for 24 hours access pin number from the front desk, speed was good.

If you have nothing better to do during evening hours, you can sign up for the shuttle to Argentina and Paraguay for some shopping in the lobby. I think it was about R$ 10-15 per person.
