i am used staying in 4 or 5 star hotels but this hotel was a unique experience, there was a covered hole in the wall that gave the impression that you where genuinly living on the street ! Needless to say that lack of pillows and a hard matress added to that special feeling ...and of course an alarm that was badly programmed and went off at 4.30 and 6 am in the morning .

I traveled in South America: Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Chile. At hotels, the 4 stars are well below European levels. Another general problem: very poor internet connection.
Watch your pockets in the street in Brasil.
Hotel is not so important, main is that it is very close to a marvel of nature: Iguassu Falls.
The staff are friendly and helpful, the room was a good size and clean.

Room Tip: preferably a room overlooking the pool

I agree with previous reviewers that there's not much to celebrate in this assembly-line hotel: nothing terrible, nothing memorable (except truly excellent caipirinhas served by the attractive pool). The room was large but without character, a little shabby (one shelf was broken), a view of nothing worth looking at, with excessive charges for things that should have been free (wifi, a lock for the room safe), a remarkably unfriendly front desk, an unremarkable restaurant (though the breakfast buffet was ample and satisfactory). Its location, along with many of the hotels in Foz do Iguacu, is a half-hour hike into the city along a pedestrian-unfriendly road. We stayed here with a group of friends and ended up having a good time (especially after we found the caipirinhas by the pool), but it was more in spite of the hotel than because of it.

We stayed here for two nights and really did not enjoy it. The rooms were low-quality and a little sketchy.
We arrived after midnight and once we got to our room we realized that we had to go to the front desk to get the key to the safe. however, once we went into the hall, the lights didn't come off and we felt very unsafe walking through unlit hallways. We could also hear people talking with their room doors open.
The TV had about 10 channels, none in English.
The staff were not very friendly or helpful - we got the impression that they were annoyed by our questions.
The food (we ate breakfast and dinner there) was good and had lots of variety though.
It was a very "cold" hotel - no personality or life, but was also a little cold because we were there in the late fall. I'm sure in the summer it'd be a welcome relief from the heat though!

The only negative comment I can say about this hotel is its location. It is a short drive out of town but a 20 mins (or so ) drive to the falls.
Apart from that, the staff are friendly and helpful, the room was a good size and clean.

food was poor and cold,no bar,a fridge full of tinned lager in the buffet area was the bar.no staff to serve you.the seating in this area was of a plastic garden furniture type.
the rooms shower had severe mould in the tile grouting, air con was very noisy and our room and corridor lights did not work.corridor p.i.r. lighting was inadequate.
this place is very remote,no restraunt/bars at hand.we had to send out for a takeaway pizza
the only positive was the helfulness of our tour guide antonio.

very commercial hote, with overpriced services (internet, massages,...). The location is the worst part, hence the service, not of good quality, are not enough (mediocre restaurant and breakfast). Would look for something better, especially for the food. The room itself is not bad, the personnel a bit rude in my view.
