It was nice to go to a restaurant that did not do buffets! The food was good, but the service was a bit slow. The soup for starters was delicious and huge. The restaurant can be reached easily on the 120 bus.

Went to Miyako with my husband during our recent trip to Foz and absolutely loved it. Miyako does not have any kind of special atmosphere or fancy decorations, yet food is truly delicious! Huge sashimi teisyoku for less than 50 reais ($ 25) is something you would hardly find in Sao Paolo where we are from. The owners of Miyako are Japanese and even the guy at cashier spoke Japanese to us (we used to live in Japan for 5 years). The only critics is they serve only Sakura shoyu sauce. It would have been splendid to have a real tokusen sashimi shoyu sauce instead of Sakura (which is a Brazilian local version).

Miyako is a clean and friendly place. Considering that the city is not located near any ocean coast, the restaurant surprisingly provides very fresh ingredients. If you are dying for Japanese food while in town then will definately recommend it.

The food: 20-40 reais each for a generous helping of genuine Japanese food, whether sushi/sashimi, tempura, or noodle dishes. The quality of the food was overall good.

The service: friendly and efficient - food served piping hot in less than 10 minutes

The atmosphere: on a Tuesday night, there were few people here, and no background music when we first arrived. A bare, white dining room with a few decorations, plain lighting and ordinary wooden chairs did very little for the setting.
