I really likes the paintings on the walls. The service was quite good. there is a playroom on the basement where you can play pool or listen to the music. at the time i was there the swimming pool wasn't very clean (july), anyway it was raining the half days.. Low price for accommodation. the ws also wasn't as clean as i wanted. nice experience at all1

I checked in a bit early after San overnight bus trip.' Zainah' at reception was very welcoming gave me all the information I needed. This hostel is ideally located for the airport and the falls (bus120) you don't need a taxi. The hostel is also right next to bus stop for going into Argentina.
The place was clean ,with hot water. There was a homely feeling to the place .However the place needs renovation to wall and ceiling

Supernova hostel has a great location, just next to the bus stop to the waterfalls and the airport, plus there are nice restaurants and supermarkets around.
Rooms were very old, with bad bed linen. I know they're under renewal, so it will probably get better. Overall, the place was very quiet, you can enjoy a restful staying over there.
Breakfast was fine, enough variety, and staff was very kind and with a good level of English.

After getting off an overnight bus we arrived at the hostel at 11am, check in is later but they didnt mind and led us to our room, a god send! the staff are really helpful! and very friendly! centrally located, and clean! kitchen is big and has everything you need! we were only going to stay 2 nights then cross the border and stay somewhere in argentina, but we loved the place so much we stayed for the duration of our time at both sides of the border at Supernova. :)
Would highly recommend.

My wife and I stayed here as part of a trip visiting her homeland. We flew in from Sau Paulo and found it very easy to catch a bus from the airport that took us straight into town. Be aware, to get to the hostel you don't have to take the bus all the way to the terminal. As you enter the town look for the roads and pull the chord once you see Dumont...it's across the street from Pizza Hut.

The hostel is a two story house with several different rooms, we stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom. The room is nice for a hostel, don't expect a hotel, plus it had an AC unit for coolness and for a little noise as the floorboards can creak if someone is above you.

Breakfast comes with the room and included some bread with butter and jam, bananas and a homemade cake (get there early as the cake can disappear). Basic but a great start to the day. The best part is they have various fruit trees around their property and when we were there in May 2011 they had avacados on the tree and allowed us to get one and have it...which was amazing!

There is a little pool, BBQ area, pool table, dart board, a community TV, community refrigerator and kitchen and a patio with a hammock, but there is so much to do in this area it's hard to stay put. The hostel let us know that, as guests, we could get a 50% discount at a local churrascaria called Fogo Dourado! It was a great meal and only cost about R50 for the two of us.

It's easy to catch the bus to the Cataratas (the falls) and Itaipu (the hyrdroelectic plant). For the falls just make left outside the hostel and cross the street and wait for the bus that says Parque Nacional which takes you to the visitor center. To get the Itaipu you take the bus the other way and change buses at the terminal (or you could walk to the terminal, whick takes about 20 minutes). You can always take buses to other locations from here too, including Paraguay and Argentina.

In other words the Supernova Hostel is perfectly located to get to where you need to go. They are very friendly, speak several languages and are happy to book things for you as well. Thanks to this hostel, we can't wait to come back to Foz and will, of course, stay there.
