we stayed 3 nights at this hotel on mid Sep 2012.

although the hotel was partly renovated during that time, it didn't really affect us. the lobby, restaurant and floor were clean and tidy, and there was no excessive noise. anyhows, we were out of the room between 8AM and 5PM every day, so it wasn't really felt.
the room is pretty basic, but well maintained. bathroom is clean, and Wifi reception is pretty good as well.

breakfast is good with a variety of food.
the front desk staff is very helpful, and speaks English (to some extent).
there is a very good travel agency inside the hotel. we took a day trip to the Argentinian side of the Iguacu falls with them, and the driver/guide was great!

there is a "per kilo" laundry service at the hotel (usually it is a per-item service at hotels), which is also a good advantage.

right in front of the hotel exists a bus stop with a public bus directly to the Brazilian side of the falls which makes it very easy to get there. the hotel is located about 5 minutes from the central bus station anyhow.

all in all, we got a good "money's worth" at this hotel

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel del Rey for one night whilst visiting the falls and Parque das Aves. The staff were really professional and helpful. The room was nice but fairly basic. The location of the hotel is just a few blocks from the bus station so it is extremely easy to catch bus 120 to the falls for a few Reais. The breakfast buffet (included) is excellent. I would definitely stay again on future visits to the falls.

Small room, but ok. Lots of building work, that seems to have been going on for ages.
Staff helpful and a nice pool area and bar upstairs.

Safe in each room.

Breakfast ok.

Clean hotel, but bathrooms were tiny,

Room Tip: Twin rooms appeared much bigger than double rooms, so if you aren't bothered about sharing a bed, request a twin.

There is a lot of construction going on next to the hotel, so that it can be quite noisy at times. Also, the walls are paper thin with the result that you clearly hear people walking down the halls and opening and closing their doors -- though I never heard people listening to their TVs or talking in the adjacent rooms - so maybe sound insulation is lacking only in the walls that abut the hallways. Room was small and relatively spartan, but clean. There was a nice pool on the roof, though I never swam in it (as time was too short and weather too chilly). I suspect that this is probably a pretty good hotel for Iguazu, but the accomodations were not as nice as in a, say, typical Howard Johnson's motel.

This accommodation came pre-arranged by our tour company Intrepid (from Australia) and unfortunately was just not up to scratch. Had to pay extra for wifi access and use of the in-room safe was not a great start. Looked like the place had been given just the basic level of cleaning. The shower head was the size of a spaceship so water spraying everywhere and weird electric controller temp gauge that sparked erratically every time you touched it as was on some eco-timer thing. Electrics in the shower = hazard! Housekeeping moved our belongings off the bed which they are not supposed to do, but couldn't replace the toilet roll? The younger staff speak English and are reasonably helpful but also a bit inattentive. Breakfast just acceptable. Mango and the little pizzas were the best. Discovered cereal on the last day... Generally below average – a real shame
