We stayed 2 nights as the Hotel is very close to the Airport, Falls and the Bird Park which was the main reason we went to Foz. The lady at reception spoke good English and was very helpful. She organised a tour guide and bus for 2 days at a great rate.
The rooms have been recently renovated and are clean and tidy. No one spoke English in the restaurant and the food wasn't that great although it's difficult to get anything else as the Hotel isn't close to the city. The kids thought the pool area and water slides were excellent.

Lovely rooms, big comfy beds, clean, and fresh. Mini bar and poolside food good value, pool great. Breakfast is huge and varied, eggs of ur choice cooked to order otherwise its all continental, but good. Great service, and the 120 bus from the terminal stops right outside. Good wifi in the rooms.

Cons: they need umbrellas for the sun loungers, it gets very hot out there. Shame there is no gym / fitness centre.

£99 for two nights through booking.com

We recently had a holiday to visit the Iguassu National Park and completely enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We got picked up at the airport. The hotel is close to it, but surrounded by nature.
The experience was so much better than staying in a big-chain hotel.

Very helpful staff at reception. Room was large, clean and comfortable. No tea/ coffee making facilities but was given flask of hot water with no hassle. Bed very comfortable. Woken at 3:30 am by noisy guests. Corridors tiled and no sound insulation. There 3nights and happened only once.
Bus to Falls in front of hotel- less than 1€ to get to Brazilian side.
However, take a taxi if going to Argentinian Falls unless you like adventure and have the day free.I took the bus (4 in all) as need to change Brazilian side, then to border where passport control can be long. Then bus to terminal and catch 4th bus to Falls. Took me 2hrs and passport control was rapid. Return took even longer.
Back at Florença- the restaurant serves good buffet breakfast ( scrambled eggs only hot option). However, if dining in the evening it really lets the hotel down. Poor choice and mediocre. Staff friendly but propped against the wall watching you while chatting to each other. No desert available. Wine choice limited but okay and very well priced. Food is cheap but you feel like you are in supermarket restaurant after shopping rather than a hotel. If looking for a romantic dinner following discovering The Falls, maybe skip this choice.......but it is inexpensive so acceptable for what you get.

No disrespect to fellow TA reviewers but how this hotel isn't one of the highest-rated in Iguacu I don't know.

I know it's personal choice but in my and my wife's view this hotel is outstanding.
It's about 5 mins from the airport, less than 10 to the Bird Park and about 10 to the Brasilian side of the falls. It's also closer to the border than downtown Iguacu.
It sits in nice grounds shaded by trees and access is straight off the highway.

Location isn't everything of course, so add:
A swimming pool with plenty of loungers, a children's pool with a slide, tennis/basketball court and a nice verandah to sit out on. Well-laid out with only two floors yet no room more than 30 seconds or so from an airy Reception which adjoins a large lounge with chairs and couches.

Facilities: free Internet provided by 2 PC's in a corner of the lounge, a travel operator on site, a restaurant with a variety of well-cooked and tasty meals, free transport in, currency exchange at the going rate (R$2.20 to the $ on the exchanges and that's what the hotel was giving).

Our room had two double beds (we can confirm that one of them - the one we used - was very comfortable !), but plenty of space to move around in, so you can see the size.
Separate toilet, handbasin and shower and good amount of clothing space (for a 3-day stay at least).

This is a 3-star I believe but in our view it goes beyond that.

One of the receptionists' customer service sums Hotel Florenca up.
We booked a full package of tours and transfers with a company and our transport from the airport failed to turn up, so we got a taxi (R$20) from the airport (R$50 to downtown) to the hotel.
When we checked in I explained our problem, that we needed to contact the company urgently since we were due to take the Itaipu Dam tour 2 hours later. She phoned, explained that they were looking into it and that she would make sure they got back to her. 30 minutes later we were informed that the company would be sending someone for us. (It was a genuine problem due to sudden illness).
The waitresses and other reception staff had the same very helpful and pleasant attitude. Even those who spoke little English always had someone by their side to help out. That is a nice touch.

Anyway, I've written about value, so:

2 nights B & B, we ate in the restaurant both evenings (beef tenderloin and chicken among the dishes and desserts) and had plenty of drinks (including some from the mini-bar in the room).

The total cost?
Less than £200 ($300).

I don't want to overdo this review but this is currently the best value hotel we have ever been to. Unless you want absolute luxury you can't fault it.

Location, facilities, price and the all-important customer service.

We have stayed there for a night at October 2013. Free transfer to the hotel took quite a bit of time to leave the airport, as we´ve had to wait for other 10 people to arrive, so it did not left the airport immediately.

We have gotten a double room, refurbished, clean! It is very close to the airport and to Argentina - good location! Drinks at mini-bar with good prices. Continental breakfast is good - good variety, enough to eat fruits, breads, juices, coffees, etc. Early in the morning we could listen airplane noises due landings or departures. Corridors do not muffle sounds, so people walking or talking can be noticed at any moment.

Front-desk attendants were very kind and helpful. Travel agency available in the hotel to arrange and book tours at region is good. Free left luggage service works very well.

It is a good cost-benefit relation and very well located! We had no issues staying there, and was very happy with our staying.

This hotel was a great choice for us. We wanted to visit the Iguacu falls without paying an arm and a leg. We didn't feel the high cost of the hotel inside of the Iguacu falls park was justifiable. Florenca was a cheery, immaculately clean hotel with extremely friendly/helpful staff. The room/bathroom was very comfortable with fast wifi in the room, modern renovations and furniture, and an in-wall heating/cooling system. We took the bus (2.85 reais) which stops right in front of the hotel frequently to all the sites (Iguacu falls, bird park, and airport) with ease, comfort, and safety. It only took us 10-20 min for each trip and the bus drops you right in front of all these destinations. The reviews we read about the bus not being safe were not true in our case, but we never headed into the town of Foz de Iguacu. We ordered room service frequently from the hotel restaurant and the food was well prepared. The breakfast was an incredibly huge spread! (fruits, breads, cereals, juices and many pastries). We did not go to the Argentina side of the falls, because the Argentinean gov't charges US citizens hundreds of dollars (reciprocity fee) to cross the border, but it is not far from this hotel. We had some rainy/cold weather in August but staying at this hotel made our stay better!
