The restaurant is essentially open air, with a tall wooden ceiling and a stone fence around most of the facility. Don't let the rustic feel fool you though, the place is really quite nice. the offer little beepers at each table so that you can call your waiter at any time and even ask for the check. As long as you don't call them, the waiters don't come around at all. Another neat trick that I was surprised to find here was the remote ordering. We asked for drinks, which the waiter tapped into is blackberry looking device and while we chatted with him about the menu, our drinks arrived. Pretty neat!

The food itself is very good and quite typical of the region. Lots of fried fish and slabs of meat. We had one of the moquecas, essentially a meat stew served with rice and a THICK fish borth called pirao. That last part I did not care for, though I can't fault the preparation or flavor, it just was not my thing.

I did love the twice fried polenta sticks. Super creamy inside...served with just a sprinling of local cheese. Delicious.

This is not gourmet food, but really quite good local food served efficiently and in a very friendly, open atmosphere. Even though we were only there a short while, we went back for lunch a second time.

Very good for groups. Delicious Dourado. The lady who runs/owns the place is super cool and loves chatting away with her guests. Food is plentiful and a great value for the money. Ambience is very pleasant and full of character.

We have eaten pirarucu ao molho de gengibre, which is a large sweet water fish in a ginger sauce. Food was ok and service was reasonable.
Too noisy, so it is not a place if you want to keep your peace and connection with nature.

Nice place, good structure and decor

The food is great: simple and honest.

Should try the fried fish starters, the costelinha de pacu was my favourite
