Hotel Nacional is a Brasília landmark. Upon arrival there is a huge desk. The white lights from the ceiling and dark wood provide a strange atmosphere. A plaque celebrates the visit of Queen Elisabeth, near an impressive Mario Cravo sculpture.
My room was huge, with a living room and two bathrooms. Furniture is absolutely dated in the 1960s or 70s. Artificial flowers complete the kitsch atmosphere. The main bathroom was very big. The shower was very good. Breakfast is good but very busy. They have a tapioca with eggs and cheese which is remarkable.
Internet access is free but very bad.
The long corridors are only illuminated where you are, resulting in a creepy feeling. I remembered the long corridors of "The Shining".
A hint: avoid walking in the streets surrounding the hotel at night.

A bit of an older hotel (I was told the oldest in DF) and it shows, it needs some freshing up. But the staff is extremely helpfull and friendly, the bar is pleasant and breakfast is very good.
The rooms are spacious but again a bit ouf of fashion.

First of all, it is very important to point out that lodging in Brasilia is expensive. So, the basic comfort is not cheap. Taking this into account, it is possible to say that Hotel Nacional offers a comfortable stay at a reasonable price. As many comments indicate, the hotel's structure is old (I'd describe its structure as traditional). However, this feature does not compromise the quality of room facilities: reasonable wi-fi, very tasty breakfast, TV with a wide variety of channels, good size, comfortable bed, an air-conditioner that works, mini bar. The lobby is very wide. Other hotel's facilities are a good restaurant where the breakfast is served (alcoholic drinks are available under a reasonable price), swimming pool, gym (there are about 4 running machines in addition to some other precarious equipment). Outside the hotel, there is no restaurant, bar or market, and the atmosphere is not friendly. In a general way, I recommend it.

Room tip: Rooms far from the elevators minimize the outside noise

It reminds me the old style, soviet or eastern European hotels, managed by the State! It is a flash back. The breakfast is rather good, and some of the people working at the hotel were very nice. There is no much to say, it is not a place that I could recommend or I would happily return. We had a meeting these, the meeting rooms were good, spacious and internet was fine (the internet in the room did not work).

To stay at Nacional Hotel, is a time travel expericence.
We don´t find spacious rooms like this anymore, the standart one had even a room for your clothes and bags.
It is from the 60s, from the begin of Brasilia, and you will even find a metal sign with the date of the visit of Queen Elizabeth in 1968.
It is in need of an update at the rooms, mainly at the bathrooms, and lighting. The glamour could be restored.
The corridors at night are a bit scary for people with imagination.
A nice breakfast included, a beautiful pool inside and nice location and view, also a 24 hour room service with a very good service.

The worst was a paid wifi, this was unacceptable.
