“Unique location, atmosphere”

A fun place to go to meet friends. Downstairs in a renovated brick mill building, it has a nice bar separated from the dining area, and is cozy and casual. Good selection of beers and food.

“Great-looking brewpub!”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

I probably focused on the atmosphere more than the beer and food, which were both good. Very spacious and multi-faceted, almost castle-like. The main floor offers a small tasting room that we bypassed. The cellar houses the bar area, which is surrounded in stone. The dining room, also on the lower-level, is also wrapped in stone. Although extremely busy on a Saturday night, dim, and loud, the elements were truly unique to any brewpub I've been. And kid-friendly, too!

“First Place to Visit in Appleton”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

I asked around when I first got here and this restaurant was highly recommended as a local (not chain) that served good food and brewed great beer. I had the Elk burger (farm raised Elk and very tasty) and beer. I have to say the locals are right. Very good. I went on a Friday night and the place was very crowded. However, I snagged a place at the bar and talked with the people on both side and learned a lot about the history of the place...including the fact that it's said to be haunted (although the ghost didn't make his/her presence known that night.) All in all, a very pleasant visit.

“Wonderful Food and Quite Environment”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

The service was absolutely amazing. The food was great. We ordered the Around the World beer sample platter which was extremely delightful. The dark candle lighted environment was extremely romantic. I will be returning and suggest others do too.

“A nice brewery”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

The Mac and beer Cheese with sausage is very good. The atmosphere is very nice although it can be a little dark. The food is very good. The ingredients are very good so the price is a little higher than cheaper stuff from other restaurants, but the quality is much better. The beer is very good. I most recently had their Stonetoberfest. It was very good and easy drinking.
The wait staff was very friendly. My wife's burger was overcooked. They apologized quickly and put a new one on for her right away. Our waitress was very friendly.
