“Has some great cross country!”
Reviewed August 29, 2013

I have not actually been here in the summer, however if you go in the winter and like cross country skiing (or snow shoeing), then check it out! They are one of a few places where you can rent the cross country skis for a decent price and ski to your heart's content. Good way to kill a few hours. Also they rent snow shoes as well I believe. I've always wanted to snowshoe and geocache, but we've only done the skiing. I think skiing goes till end of February and then they start preparing for tapping trees to make maple syrup in March. You can also participate in that as well. Another thing I would like to check out.

“A great place to find a little peace”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

My young daughters and I love going here to unwind, take a walk in the woods, feed the fish and turtles and to just play in nature. They have great well marked trails and programs throughout the year.

“Lovely walking and skiing trails through forest and field”
Reviewed July 29, 2013

The nature preserve is great to visit any time of the year. In summer (put on some mosiquito repellent) you can walk through the quiet woods and visit the ponds and prairies. The real bonus comes in the wintertime, when they rent cross country skis and snowshoes and then one can experience the joy of winter sports without making a major investment in equipment. The rentals are incredibly reasonable. Local schools bring whole classrooms of kids to learn to ski and explore the wintry wonderland.
