Often driving through Marinette on our way to the UP we've been frequenting The Brothers Three pizza for a very long time (over 20 years). So we were excited when they decided to open a dine in/take out store in Appleton and have been ordering pizzas from there since around the time they opened that store.
Unfortunately things seem to have changed of late. The special which included 2 large pizzas (with 1 topping), 2 orders of garlic toast with cheese, and a 2 liter bottle of pop - all for $20 has now gone up to $25. Understandable that the price of things go up after a while BUT it's not so, when the amount of what you get in return goes down in spite of the raised prices. For $25 you still receive 2 large pizzas, although the boxes definitely look a lot smaller and the toppings seem scarce. Compared to other local pizza houses, of the two large pizzas we received with our order, on one pizza - the ham topping on one half pizza and sausage on the other half were both hard to find. On the other pizza, the amount of pepperoni on one half and the amount of bacon were both average. The garlic toast slices are now smaller and are no longer topped with cheese (something we were made aware of only when we picked up our order). Even the containers containing the Parmesan cheese and hot pepper seeds that we requested with our take out orders have gotten smaller. The only thing that hasn't diminished in size was the 2 liter bottle of pop.
With regret, maybe it's time for us to consider breaking our long standing relationship with The Brothers Three pizza and patronize the local competition in order to get good value for our money.
