What a wonderful, small hotel; warm, welcoming and full of character. The suite I had was large, clean and very well appointed. The staff were so friendly and the experience is one worth having; if you happen to be staying in Appleton; this is the place for you.

I am a hotel awards member, so try and stay where I'll earn points for the night, but we decided to forgo the points this weekend and splurge on this boutique hotel with a convenient downtown location close to our daughter's campus (Lawrence University). We were very pleased. The staff were attentive and helpful, the hotel was clean from the hallways, to the public spaces, even the stairways (we take stairs instead of elevators). The lobby bar was nice to come back to after dinner for a drink. Although they bartender should have turned the TV off or on a station without a graphic murder trial being documented.

Room Tip: Stay in a room on the 2nd or 3rd floor and take the stairs instead of the single elevator which at c...

This quaint boutique hotel has elegant charm at a reasonable price. We went as a weekend get away. We had a quiet room, with a comfortable bed and a jacuzzi for two. The suite was laid out nice, the bathroom was huge and seating area was just as you entered the room.
The cookies and coffee in the lobby were a nice treat. Don't bother eating at the restaurant, you will be disappointed. There are much better choices within walking distance - Flanagan's - for good wine and food, Victorias for Italian, Apollon for Greek, Cheyennes or Basils for a burger and a beer, L'Angelos for an elegant food experience.
There is a large communal jacuzzi on the lower level. No pool - not a terrible pool, I couldn't delete it.

snob that I am, I didn't expect such a nice boutique hotel in Appleton, WI. The room was modern, clean and spacious. The bathroom ( make or break for me) was spacious, great (AVEDA) soap/shampoo/lotion, fluffy big towels, and a good shower (included a whirlpool in the tub).
the employees were nice. The fitness room, spacious, basic and clean. I don't know about the spa. Free breakfast was more than adequate. the restaurant was good Italian.

I stayed here on a saturday night for my birthday. Everyone at the front desk was very friendly saying hello everytime i walked by..(especially the night audit guy) The room was spotless and very inviting, the bed was so comfortable.. everything was just right. We booked a package that included a couples massage at the spa downstairs.. 60 minutes wasnt near long enough, that just set the tone for the weekend.very relaxing. They offered breakfast downstairs, buffet style. it was alright. coffee was really good as its made about 15 minutes away. I work at a hotel, i think that makes me a bit more critical when i stay at other establishments, but i dont have one real complaint about this hotel even the view was nice. :)

Best hotel for couples in Appleton. The whole place gives you a sense of calm from the moment you walk in. There are alot of things within walking distance of the hotel. They have a nice little bar right at the lobby and the italian restaurant is excellent. Nice to have the complimentary breakfast. The Spa is a must.

Room Tip: They have limited rooms with two double beds. All the rooms are great, but if you can, try one of th...
