This place is great if you buy the year membership, otherwise I feel it's way over priced. They charge the kids AND the parents for entry which is ridiculous. This said, the place does offer a lot of fun activities and different cool rooms with fun things to do. They have a water room, a ball room, an art room, trains, tree houses. If you live in Appleton and have young ones a year membership to this place is a must. It's best for kids 2-6 yrs of age.

Thank you for visiting!

The Building for Kids experience is designed to revolve around children, but adults have just as much fun and are encouraged to play everywhere the children play. Studies have shown that "the level of children's play rises when adults play with them," and that one of the key elements of this benefit is the ability of the child to lead that play. These studies show that when a parent engages in imaginative and creative play with their child, the benefits are immense. Children who have the opportunity to lead adults in play demonstrate richer and more abstract thinking.

Considering this, the use of the facility and amenities by adults is an expense that we, as a non-profit, have to account for. The Building for Kids, Inc., is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization supported by donations, memberships, admissions, and gift shop sales. The museum does not receive local, state, or federal funding. The Museum's programs and admissions generate two-thirds of its operating revenue, and private contributions are pursued to support the balance.

What a great place for children. We take our grandchildren there often and they always have a great time. The various displays appeal to everyone. Beware that it can get quite busy especially when school groups are present. We offset that by getting there early.

What a great place for both kids and parents to play together! Their art area is AWESOME! They continuously have fantastic programs on weekends and through out the summer.

Thank you for visiting, JoJoJamil! We are always pleased to hear of our guests having such a great time. We believe that parents playing along with their children is very important. I don't get to see my grandchildren very often. I took them here and we all had a good time. When we visited, the Building For Kids was between major exhibits; but my grand-daughter had fun dressing up in costumes and my grandson enjoyed the scientific experiments. All in all, a very nice experience.!
