We stayed at Vila Bela Vista for one week in June and it was a great experience. The hosts are super nice and gave great recommendations. They booked tours for us and helped dealing with Brazil's transportation system. Breakfast was amazing as well. We had a nice chalet for the three of us and it was cleaned every day. The pool made any day perfect we just wanted to relax at the pousada. And the horse carriage brings you right to the center of the village if you do not want to walk the 7 minutes to restaurants, bars and the beach. Totally worth staying at!!!!

Room Tip: Two level chalets are more recommendable than single rooms.

A great place to stay with awesome staff! The villas are located a bit further out of town than most, which is good if you want to be away from the noise and bustle, although it is a bit of a walk through the sand into town. The villas are lovely, clean and spacious and the staff were fun! The breakfast was delicious and the pool is good for taking a dip in the hottest part of the day. I would stay there again.

Room Tip: The upstairs villas are great as you have a bit of a view from your balcony, plus the breeze. Stayin...

We stayed in Vial Bella Vista for 6 weeks until Feb. 2014. We enjoyed each day coming “home” to Bella Vista from some surf action. Also because of our kids we often stayed the evenings at Bella Vista and we loved it. So it did not matter at any point that our room was not the biggest one, because the living room was outside with a hammock (we used it each day) and table just in front of the room, and 5 steps away a pool next to an outside kitchen with some tables for breakfast/snacks. All in between a lots of plants. The pousada is run by the owners who live there. They care about details at their pousada, and they care about their guests wishes as much as possible and even more than you could expect. We also could stay some days at Bella Vista Preá. As the beach of Preá is different to Jeri the Bella Vista Pousadas are different as well. We enjoyed both the same just in a different way. Coming back to Jeri and Preá – hang loose!

Upon entering VBV compound we observed quaint two story cottages and mature foliage giving us a welcome shade from the intense near equator sunshine.

The manager, Keri Thompson greeted us like old friends. We were taken to our rooms which were tastefully decorated. Swan shaped towels, bougainvillaea and bird of paradise flowers added to the ambiance. An open to the sun garden in the bathroomwas a pleasant surprise . The room was cleaned daily.

After our long trip over sand roads, dunes, and the beach ,which is impossible to see on a map. The old adage was restated "It is impossible to get there from here" we were glad we chose to hire a 4 wheel vehicle to pick us up and bring us back.

Keri offered us several menus to to choose from. we made our choice and Keri called the lady at the restaurant . She arrived and took our orders. When to food was delivered we all sat together and Keri told us the story of VBV and her daughter Jodie who bought the empty land and started the posada. It was quite an adventurous story.

All four of us are over 60 years old. We do not surf or kite surf. We enjoyed to sunset, the restaurants, the lights of Jeri at night, the icecream shop and of course the shopping.

Everyone at VBV was very helpful. There was always someone to answer questions, take us shopping, see the sister VBV on the beach or just back and forth to town.

Will we go back , of course. We have only begun to taste the different flavors at the ice cream shop. Next time I may be brave enough to get on one of their horses.

A real value. Staff is very attentive. Quiet, peaceful. Carriage ride around Jeri is a must.
Made us feel like royalty. Made shopping and getting around town easier. There are
so many great restaurants and shops it will keep uou busy for the two days we spent there.

This hotel is owned and run by an American from Michigan named Jody Thompson and her mother, whom everyone affectionately calls "Mom." It is a special place. Jody and Mom always are concerned to make their guests feel as if they are in their own home. The staff is wonderfully friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

If you are lucky enough, you may be invited to stay at the sister hotel in Prea, which is one of the great kite-surfing destinations in the world. If you are a kite-surfer, it is a must. Also, Jody has two young children that live there, so it is ideal for families. In fact, it is like summer camp, both for kids and adults.

The pousada is really nice. the rooms are comfortable the employees amazing you will be treated as royalty. the pousada has charm, authenticity and character, you interact and feel like you are in a summer camp for adults. check with Mom, the possibility of spending the day or even sleeping for a couple of nights at their brand new vila bela vista PREA. it feels like you are back in jeri 15 years ago. I recommend and will be back again for sure. Thanks to all the team for making us not want to leave. !!!!!!!!
