The beach is set up for coming and swimming or taking part in watersports. As with other parts of Jeri its frustrating to see Rubbish in the sand. Such a beautiful place which is spoilt by the rubbish.

Amazing place on the beach with lots of young and good looking people. This is the place for surfing, wind surfing and kite surfing.
The only thing is that it is more expensive than Fortaleza and surroundings.

Getting to Jericooacoara is an adventure. The last part of the trip cannot be done in a regular vehicle, it must be done by 4 x 4 or dune buggie, or fitted vehicle. This is not a beach for people who like perfect beaches. There are many donkeys that live on the beach so they do make a mess. This beach is so interesting the tide comes way in at one point of the day and way out at another part of the day. If you like to paddle board or wind surf this is a great place to come. We went in April which was a great time for people who are learning, but if you are coming for the wind and more advanced wind surfing, you should come between July and January. Sunset is an event here that both locals and tourists enjoy, where everyone sits on the cliff to watch the sunsets. Then around 4 or 5pm, the each fills up with capoeiristas. I loved going to dinner one night and running into a huge cow in the streets. Also loved the Havianna store with a floor made of sand.

Jeri is a long deserted area with only kite surfers. If Kite is not your thing, better keep out. The village is not worth spending more than a day. Everything has a slightly fake taste and is very much tourist orientated.

Moon is everywhere. Also is the sun. But here, both have a special taste. Where else the sunset is a daily attraction gathering alms every visitor and local to appreciate it. The silence of the night at the DUNA s perfect to appreciate the moon. And the stars in Jeri`s skies are seen probably as they are in Atacama. Well, it is also a desert that meets the sea. Don`t care with some pigs on the streets. Combined with the stars, the moon and the sunset, I've Jeri a PinkFloyd taste. If you can, stay there for at least 4 days. Then, you can feel local and have the real feeling of leaving reality for some time. Isn`t this you try to get on vacation???
