we just got back after spending 4 nights in this great place. location is great, very clean and the room is comfirtable. the staff is very nice and helpful.
negotiate the price and be sure to get at least 10% discount when paying cash. (traveled with my wife)

Located a few meters from the sea, with an excellent over the rate brazilian breakfast our hosts delighted our week here in this remote village of northeastern Brazil.

The comfy room is settled in a beautiful garden at the end of a quiet street which has no access to the sea. We've been there during low season and got a really good deal. The nightlife in Jeri is great and even after a long day of buggy trips you can miss it after the sunset over the dunes.

Dos Ipes is almost beachfront. You can see the ocean, but you have to walk around the corner to access the beach. Still, it was great to finish a kitesurf downwinder, land on the beach and walk 30 seconds into the hotel.

The rooms are 2 story units with a single bed and bath downstairs and a queen bed upstairs. There is a nice balcony with hammok upstairs with a view of the ocean. There are only 6 or so rooms so it's nice and quiet. Unfortunately there is no pool, just a shower in the garden for rinsing off. Breakfast is good (for Brasil) and served on ocean view terrace that doubles as a hammok hang out area.

It's a great deal and the hosts were really nice. My only complaints are the lack of pool and the weird tapioca pancakes served on alternate days. Maybe the Brazilians like them?

My husband and I stayed here for 2 weeks last December while we stayed in Jeri. I'm so excited it's finally listed on Trip Advisor because this was our favorite place during our 8 months of South American travel. We moved from Vila Bela Vista because we wanted to be in town and wanted something more affordable...and we totally lucked out with Vila dos Ipes. And it turns out that it's Lonely Planet's "our pick" in their Brasil book!

On a dead end street right in town, Vila dos Ipes is a tranquil little oasis. There's a beautiful roof deck with hammocks and comfy chairs to take in the sunset and beach. And there are other places to lounge or even get a massage. Gorgeous flowers, too. It's right on the beach, but you have to walk 2 minutes to a thru street as it's on a dead end street. And I guess the only downside is there isn't a pool, but whatever...you have the beach 2 minutes away. And you're next door to a laundry mat if you need to do laundry.

There are only a handful of rooms and ours was really comfortable--ours was a 2 story with AC, mini fridge, wifi and super comfy bed. And quiet! It's right in the mix, but you will sleep very well at night. We had a deck with a hammock (and a hammock in our room!). Hot water...all for about $75USD/night (that was in low season).

Breakfast was great--yogurt, eggs, fresh fruit, juice, coffee. And of course, chocolate cake (a strange Brasiliian phenomenon that I can't figure out, but have no problem indulging in!). And to top it off, the staff were all very friendly. Claudia, who runs the Vila is always happy and smiley and really helpful. And Brasilian (not American, Israeli or Italian, like many other hotel owners in Jeri). We don't speak a lick of Portuguese, but that wasn't a problem as her english is sufficient. The cleaning staff and the night guard are also super nice and friendly.

We plan to head back to Jeri in November and will definitely stay at Vila dos Ipes. I really can't recommend it enough! I know this sounds like a paid endorsement (see my other reviews as proof that I'm legit and quite the critic), but it's only because, I'm so excited Vila dos Ipes is on Trip Advisor and I want everybody to know about it!! Enjoy!
