“Too short - I wanted it to go on and on”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2013

I saw this on TA and asked my BnB (see review of Open House) owner was it worth attending and he loves it. Its in the heart of the historic centre in a small theatre (surprised how small it is). The cost seems to have gone up and we were charged 40rs. The show starts at 8pm and lasts for an hour. There were 5 or 6 different dances and they were just awesome (as was the music). We were on a real high afterwards and just wished it would have gone longer!!

“Easily the best cultural dance performance that I've ever seen!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 10, 2013 via mobile

I usually would scoff at the idea of a cultural dance show or a ballet, but this is on a whole new level. The dancers are professionals (the only pro group in Brazil) and their training and deduction is obvious. I don't want to give too much away but I really recommend that you visit the Afro-Brazil Museum first so that you learn about the Orixa and the Candomble religion as it features in the Bale.

Support the local arts, go and see it!

“Don't Miss It!”

If you are in Salvador, go see this wonderful one hour show. If you don't enjoy this, you probably don't have a heart beat.

“One cannot miss it!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 30, 2012

The show is on everyday if im not mistaken (except sunday & public holiday).
Get there half an hour before if you want to get a good spot, but overall the stage is small and so is the seating area. But don't let this fool you because it was a truly amazing show, the choreography is lively, colourful, you really get a better understanding of the religion. you can buy the tickets before with the guard, or after 5pm when the ticket booth opens.
