“Great Energy Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013

To all of you that wanna experience a evening with lots of good vibrations, head to Bomfim church. You may also visit little shops around and buy gifts from Bahia and its mixed religious culture of Candomblé and Catholic.

“Beautiful church”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 23, 2013 via mobile

Beautiful church, but not as Sao Francisco. This church has a lot of faith and tradition for the people, so everyone goes there and tight a "Senhor do Bonfim strap" asking for something.

“Wish making trip !”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 15, 2013

If you take the trip to this church, which is located farther from the city center, don't forget to follow the ritual: have a friend tie a 'fita' at your wrist with three knots; for every knot make a wish. A prayer wouldn't hurt either! When the fita tears apart, then your wishes will come true! Don't tie your fita on a railing, fence etc.... it';s tourist misconception. ;)

“Cool church”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 11, 2013

This church is really pretty. People go there and tie these little ties around the church in order to pray for someone. If you're in the area, it's worth a quick stop to see.

“Worth a quick tour”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2013

The church in itself is nothing special, but the millions of ribbons tied to the gates and doors give it a colourful touch. Nice views of the city.
